Re: Mid-Year Product Guide Discussion

The Sage 5 is the only must have for me. While I like the new Rubicon, the Advocate, and the Magnitude, I'm not a collector. Users only for me, and I know I would never use them. My Sage 1 is easily my EDC number one with a bullet, but I think the Sage 5 will move into that spot, since my PM2 is my ...

I'm just gonna throw this out there...

I realize that the Sage 5 has yet to be released, but I'd really like to see a Sage 5 as an exclusive or sprint run with blurple G10 and S110V.
That would be a total home run IMHO!!!
Probably wishful thinking on my part, but I'm keeping the dream alive!!!

Re: Sage 5 ... any news??

I guess I feel the opposite about the CF...I have tons of knives in G10, but the only other Spydie I have with peel ply CF is my Yo2 sprint/exclusive, which I love the look and feel of. I'm not crazy about shiny CF or the "Cosby sweater" effect on the Sage 3 / Domino style, but I love the...

I am really hoping to see Shaman/Native XL pix in this thread...
Too bad about PM3 pix. I'll get one regardless. The concept alone is right in my wheelhouse!

Re: Amsterdam Meet 2016 Report of Spyderco Prototypes

A couple of thoughts on the Sage 5: The nested liners will make it easy to discern from the Sage 1, as will the lanyard hole, and of course the compression lock and peel ply CF/G10 scales. I would like to see the black wire clip instead of the shiny one, and the lanyard hole is unnecessary IMHO for ...

Re: Need Help with my new G10 Native

I had the same problem with my N5 CF. I took the advice I got here to tune it up by carefully adjusting the pivot, a very small amount of oil, and opened/ closed it a bunch, then another final tweak of the pivot (it doesn't take much at all). I did invest in some quality Wiha Torx wrenches. It's now...

Re: CS Exclusive Orange Paramilitary 2 DLC CTS-XHP

Simple supply and demand...
You could get the blurple S110V PM2 for $150 shipped right now.
Or lurk the BF exchange until a motivated seller puts up the CS orange for sale.
It will happen, sooner or later, and if you're diligent, you'll score...

Re: Sage 1 problem ?

My very first Spyderco is the Sage 1, and it's my favorite! It was easy to thumb deploy one handed, but not flickable, and after a few weeks I noticed that the centering was slowly moving away from the clip side liner, so I bought a Wiha torx wrench, and some synthetic oil and tuned that bad boy up!...

Re: Let's talk deep-carry pocket clips for Native 5 & PM2...

Well, I went ahead and ordered 2 clips from Casey, one for my blurple PM2, and one for my Native 5 CF. His prices are better too! I'll try them in various positions and test out the ergos. I've read that clips that are torqued down too much can affect blade centering and smooth pivot operation, so I...

Let's talk deep-carry pocket clips for Native 5 & PM2...

I'm wondering if anyone has experience using Ti deep pocket clips from the 2 sellers on eBay and theoriginalspaceman from BF? There are several versions available from all 3 sellers and some look kinda fragile and/or might interfere with ergos depending on where they are mounted. I'm curious about l...
