Re: Out of the Spyderco knives you own, which one is your favorite?
That's a tough question, but for the time being, I'd have to go with my newest. This thing enjoys a healthy diet of boxes. :D http://i1182.photobucket.com/albums/x446/gqcarr/Mobile%20Uploads/20170222_080738.jpg http://i1182.photobucket.com/albums/x446/gqcarr/Mobile%20Uploads/20170222_080655.jpg

Re: OK, it's time to get serious
Thanks guys and mattman's right, these are Wilkins D4 grips in brown G10. I find them very reminiscent of the older Delica 3 handles, which for me, feel a little more comfortable.

Re: Gayle Bradley Advocate First Impressions?
I've heard that the bearing system used on the custom is slightly different than what Spyderco used on their version.
(Now, I do not own either, so at least a grain of salt is required until someone who does own both can chime in)

Re: Red loctite
My user rotation is large enough that I do not need to do much maintenance on my knives on a regular basis. However, when they need a good cleaning, I do like to break them down for a more complete cleaning/lubing. That being said, my advice to Spyderco is this... Go back to only using BLUE loctite,...

Re: buff backspacer on Caly
If that ding has a sharp edge to it and bothers you when you grip the knife, then hit it with the sandpaper. If it isn't sharp to the touch, then I would just leave it and use the knife as normal. (nothing wrong with a few battle-scars)

Re: 5,000th post Giveaway !!!
I'm in. Congrats on the milestone! #261 It may sound corny, but I enjoy the giving part during the holidays. I did a GAW about a month or so ago on another forum and the winner seemed so happy that they had won , it just made me feel better than the previous 3 knives I had purchased for myself. (If ...

Re: Where are the 3 inch blades?
Waiting for the Lil' Nilakka myself, hoping Sal uses M4 or 52100 for the blade steel though. I'm thinking that either of those steels would suit the blade geometry well, plus the patina that would develop will complement nicely the ivory-colored scales. (Until then, I'll hang around for the wharnie ...

Re: 52100 Military, what are your plans?
Hey guys, do you think taking the edge of this steel to a high polish would assist in slowing any of the corrosion? It probably won't hurt, but the problem Lance is talking about is on a microscopic level, so even with a polished edge it's still going to happen. All it really means is you can't exp...

Re: OK, it's time to get serious
I agree with Jazz in that I too would prefer a flat spine on this one. Although I haven't handled this knife, if I did think it was uncomfortable, I would just slightly round the spine myself. (but since most of my finger pads are work-hardened and callused, I doubt this would be an issue for me) YMMV
