Re: BladeHQ Native 5 M4 mint green dropping Dec. 3

It might be that M4 is that much more expensive than S30v, or that the M4 was ordered later at the height of the CoViD mess with all the related increases in costs. Only Spyderco really knows.

Re: BladeHQ Native 5 M4 mint green dropping Dec. 3

The steel does not have to be shipped half way around the world for the Native 5 LW, unlike the Sage, so the price is lower.

I’m bummed this is from BHQ as they have terrible CC security.

Re: H1 vs LC200N

Option 3 was the closest fit for me. LB93 is correct, once you think about it gets more complicated. Before vivi showed me the way of a thinned out PE H1 blade, LC200N would have been my far ahead top choice. Now, they’re pretty close to neck and neck.

so where are those pacific salt deals at?
See the above KJ link. You need to have an account and log in to see the discounts. H1 Pacifics are discounted, not LC200N from what I can see.

Edited to fix an autocorrect error.

Re: What "Other" is in your pocket???

It’s not even close to being my oldest knife, but this Victorinox Executive SAK is the one knife I own that I’ve carried for the longest uninterrupted period of time; 22 years (since 1999), and still going strong. I always have it in my RFP, regardless of what other knife or knives I may carry and ...

Re: Lil Native or Chaparral and why?

Neither are on my list of must haves, but I do have one Chap. I'd always choose the thinner stock on a knife of that size.

That said, I'll likely pick up a Lil' Native slippy if they ever drop. This is just for completeness of my Native collection.

Edited typo.

Re: Magnacut Mule!!!

If that's the case, what is everyone drooling over this steel for?? Because of how stainless it is? That edge retention is shockingly low, considering the hype of this steel, being comparable to " plain old, boring, I don't like it, I'll never buy a knife in..S30V" Yet I've seen MANY of t...

Re: Magnacut Mule!!!

I feel good about this one. As per the Magnacut Pole there are only 470 pieces "spoken for." If this run produces 1500 as suggested, then there are 1030 pieces up for grabs. That's lots! I totally get why 470 of 500 would disappear in 6 minutes. But this time it is going to be different. ...

Re: Good Jeans

I’ve mostly given up on jeans as it is just too hot and humid here, but the few times I do wear them they are from a company in Georgia that makes them in the US from US cotton. Levi’s corporate has gone all leftist politically if that matters to you. The others all shifted production out of the US ...

My Brouwer that Yablanowitz graciously picked up and shipped for me arrived today. I can find no flaw with it, so I have to wonder if it was a second because of damaged packaging and not due to a flaw.

Re: FRN vs. Bleach?

High concentrations of chlorine (think pool tablets or liquid pool chlorine) will damage H1 and likely the FRN. Since you will be using much, much lower concentrations it should not be a worry. There was an old thread about someone leaving an H1 in contact with either a pool tablet or pool chlorine ...
