Re: Just got my Manix 2 S110V but not happy.

I see the PM2 on page 23, but I don't see the S110V steel model. Is it being discontinued?

It just came out. It is on page 23. ;) Look again. :)

Wow, I just realized that they send me a 2015 Product Guide (I guess they were unloading the old stock). I can now see the PM2 V110S in the new ...

Re: Just got my Manix 2 S110V but not happy.

I'm not sure if it was just this knife. I didn't mind the having to use 2 fingers, but found the hard pull just too uncomfortable. The irony is that Manix 2 is a lightweight EDC, but requires a heavy pull to close it. I've decided to go with a Paramilitary 2 S110V knife instead. I already have a ...

Re: Just got my Manix 2 S110V but not happy.

I really wanted to love this knife, but after two days of trying to work the lock hoping it would start to ease up without even the slightest improvement, I've decided to return it. I really think Spyderco has got to reexamine the size of the spring used on this knife. It's downright painful to ...

Re: Just got my Manix 2 S110V but not happy.

I'm afraid that when I try to close it one handed, I wind up gripping it so tightly that the finger tips of my third, fourth and fifth fingers drift close to the blade path. Not happy feeling the blade just pass miss finger tips.

Just got my Manix 2 S110V but not happy.

I just got a Manix 2 with S110V steel. While I've very happy with the blade and find it very easy to thumb flick it open, I'm really unhappy with the amount of force need to pull the lock back to close it. I placed the knife on a weight scale to try and gauge how much force it was taking to work the ...

Re: Why doesn't Spyderco sell replacement parts?

I'm not blaming Spyderco for anything. I was stupid enough to try and clean my gummed up knife by disassembling it in the field and losing the stop pin. $25 my seem like a lot to fix a $50 knife, but I have only myself to blame for not being careful in the first place. On the other hand, $25 is not ...

Re: Why doesn't Spyderco sell replacement parts?

Hi Toyman,

Welcome to our forum.

Sorry for your disappointment. The primary reasons for not supplying parts is that our models are constantly changing. We call it CQI or Constant Quality Improvement. We don't know what part will fit your knife. If you send it in, we will usually fix it. We're ...

Re: Why doesn't Spyderco sell replacement parts?

Isn't it strange that gun manufacturers like Glock, S&W, Ruger.... not only allow users to disassemble their hand guns for cleaning, but recommend that they do so. They even include tools and instructions with the guns to do just that. I'm not sure I would ever buy a hand gun from a manufacturer ...

Re: Why doesn't Spyderco sell replacement parts?

I understand what you are saying. It's just that it doesn't really make sense to go to the expense of sending the knife in and paying the fee to have you replace a part that I freely admit was lost due to my carelessness and then paying for you to return it to me. This will probably bring the bill ...

Why doesn't Spyderco sell replacement parts?

I was out in the woods and managed to get my Resilience knife covered in some very sticky gunk. To make a long story short. I disassembled the knife and managed to loose the stop pin. When I contacted Spyderco about purchasing a replacement pin I was told that they don't sell replacement parts. I ...
