Re: Para 3 strange vertical streaks in blade

Those lines look like die/tooling lines from processing powdered metal. I've never seen a grinding belt or bonded wheel leave dead straight lines like that in the finish. Interesting.

Re: Which spyderco is in the mail?

Mail call! Just got home from work to this waiting for me. Finally got some cf/s90v back in my life. Scored it for $135, bnib! [img] Congrats on the fluted CF Native. You stole it! Great knife, I love mine. The s90v has been somewhat of a challenge to sharpen though. Thank you! As a matter of fact,...

Re: Hollow Grinds

Back to knives, I would love a bellied hollow Spyderco, like someone else said I like how Sebenza has done it. Too bad it's not higher ground and the handle is a broomstick ergonomically :D Pls don't hate on me guys! P.S. I was just imagining a blade like on the Kapara in that geometry. Wew! Laser ...

KnifeCenter has the stepped titanium Chaparral on sale for $180. If it was the blue version, I'd be all over it. https://www.knifecenter.com/item/SP152STIP/spyderco-c152stip-chaparral-folding-knife-cts-xhp-blade-stepped-titanium-handles Thanks for the heads up on this one. I can only hope this helps.

Washer thickness: 0.008"
Washer O.D.: 0.500
Washer I.D.: 0.214

These numbers are approximate. I measured the pivot pin to get the I.D. so you may want to add 0.001 to that number.
Wow!
You can't ask for much more than that!!

Re: Question for other owners of Native5 S90V CF (C41CFFP5)

I’ve found mine to be an outstanding little knife (usually carry a Shaman or Endura at work). The only issue I found was the action getting extremely stiff when I flipped the clip for right hand, tip down carry. As long as you prefer tip up it’s an absolute treat, and even non knife people think it...

I haven't had to do any major bending/repair yet but it might also come in handy for some fine tuning.

Re: How was your 2019?

It was a slow 2019, only two knives. The first was the KC Cru-Wear Native to try out the steel and possibly for a blade swap with my fluted CF version. The other was the discontinued Lil Sub Hilt which doesn’t have much if anything Lil about it. If you like the robust build of the GB1 you might also...

Re: Note to self - only let the GF carry stainless knives...

Brake cleaner works pretty well for me. Brake cleaner is way harsh! A stone and denatured alcohol should handle the adhesive. A stone is less harsh than brake cleaner??? I must be missing something??? The next time I need to sharpen or reprofile a knife i'll try some brake cleaner.

Because she just put my 940 through the wash. Thank god it’s in 20cv 😂

Slightly bitter that even my washing machine couldn’t remove the cardboard box adhesive I’ve been struggling to get off...

Surprised to see the Sage1 on there. What a classic Spyderco!
That's the only one I've got my eyes on...sad to see it go!
I'm also surprised to see the Sage1 on the list. To me it's also one of those quintessential Spydercos.
