Spyderco Military vs BM/Emerson CQC-7B
I thought this might be a good topic of discussion given I can't afford a Military right now and a own a BM Emerson CQC-7B. (Bought a few years ago when I had money and no kids) How would you compare a Military vs the BM/ Emerson or the current Emerson CQC-7B. Here are the facts: Spyderco Military B...

Have you guys seen this?
This is the Cold Steel Ti-Lite.
It designed to look like a 50's style switch blade. I thought it looked pretty cool.

I just bought an FRN CE Delica for EDC at the fire house. I love the knife. I compared it to some of the other knives I own and it is top notch. You are able to pack a lot of blade into a small handle. But the blade isn't so big it is intimidating. The SS model feels realy nice in your hand but I de...

I did a little research and found that a lot of web sites are comparing AUS6 to 440A. They go on to describe 440A as low grade steel found on cheaper knives. I find it hard to belive that a company like Spyderco would use cheap steel. What is the general opinion? Also,if Sal could comment on this, i...

Pivot Pins on SS Models
I noticed the other day that I can hardly find the pivot pins when looking at the SS handle of my Dragonfly. However, when looking at the SS handle on my Endura the pivot pins are very easy to spot. They fit flush but are just easy to see. Is this purely cosmetic or could this effect the knive loose...

Question for Sal
Sal, As hard use kives, how would you rate the SS AUS6 Delica and Endura to some of the G10 Titanium handle, ATS-34(or equivalent steel) knives offered on the the market? I have two of the really expensive folders and I think the feel and quality of the SS Delica and SS Endura are superb. I would ac...

I like tip up. For the obivious reasons I can't carry my FRN Delica or Dragonfly tip down (won't let me) but I like the fact that the butt of the knife is the first thing you touch. I switched the clip on my SS Endura for that reason plus it seems that less steel/handle sticks out of your pocket(at ...

I would have to agree with chux. Except mine would be a CE SS Endura. However, I do own I knife that my father gave to me when I was little that I might be more inclined to bring along. It is an early 80's Buck 110 Folding Hunter with finger grooves. The steel on the early 80's Buck Knives seems bet...

Rescue Knives
I am a Volunteer Fire Fighter in Delaware and I was thinking about a new rescue knife. I currently carry in my gear a Gerber Gator because of the big handle. I was at a knife shop the other day (buying my Delica) and a saw the Assist. It seems like a well made and well thought out knife. I like the ...
