I read this a while back and it's an interesting interpretation of the law by the courts. Basically finding that the tightness of the pivot screw will determine it's legality?

Right, I'm not sure if a 'flick knife' is actually a thing, but I've heard the term used in this context. My understanding is that a knife that can be opened by a flick of the wrist would be considered prohibited, under that gravity or centrifugal opening wording. This is the part that is all up to ...

yes. they are great little knives. VG10 will do, but ZDP or Hap40 would be sweet too.

I'm going to have to also say Delica. I would put Stretch up there too, but delica is a good travel size, lightweight and capable.
