Re: Crucarta, what's going on?

I put M4 away wet all the time, it's fine. I do force a patina first thing. Whats your preferred Force Patina method? I am getting some surface rust and micro pitting on Cruwear and want to try a force patina to see if that mitigates its reappearance time. I've tried a bunch and I think Mustard is ...

Re: Is there a quintessential Spyderco?

For Spyderco the Endura/Delica series is a good representation. I would lean to the PM2 though because it has the clip, the spidie hole, and the compression lock. So three Spyderco innovations on the same knife. For Porsche there can only be one. https://canepa.com/wp-content/uploads/2016/05/917-015...

Re: Crucarta, what's going on?

All new factory knives: 1. Wash in hot water with a little bit of dish soap 2. Let air dry 3. Remove pivot screws 4. 1 drop of non-toxic Froglube between each PB washer and blade (easy to do because the pivot screws are gone leaving gaps to get oil into) 5. Clean and apply loctite to screw threads ...

Re: Crucarta, what's going on?

I too have a CruCarta PM2 and out of the box it was the slickest opener compared to the prior few I have. Still slick. I would strongly suspect that if you can crush the full steel liners with your normal grip strength the circus will have a job for you. I also suspect that the Micarta scales are ma...

More HRCs = More Instagram Likes.

It's priceless information really. Can you just imagine your followers laughing in your face when you post a picture of a 73 HRC knife when 74 HRC is more?

It's funny, I wish the chef was bigger and the swayback was smaller.

I want to try a Techno / Techno 2. Fat blades aren't my things but the design pulls me in
That's the big Spidiechef proto sitting on top of the yellow box.

Re: Knife that screams liner lock got the compression lock - why?

For me the advantage of the Comp Lock is how I can open and close a knife with one hand without having to change my grip.

Most of the other locks; well I can close them sorta one handed with some gymnastics but it's for sure not as easy.

Re: LW SpydieChef please!

The Ti scales are pretty lightweight already. If the aim is for a FRN version so it costs less then first the mold costs will blow the savings out of the water and second since it's a frame lock that's a whole new can of worms.

Re: Knifejoy Exclusive...Slysz Bowie??!!

Knife Joy did one run in 2021 with a promise for a second run in the future. Knife Joy did a second run in 2024. They seem to have released them in two batches to manage demand. They did a later release of their reserve stock after that via a lottery. They were smart and held reserve stock for the u...

You'd probably do better asking for ones made in Golden.

Obligatory Ultem photos.

Why am I replying to this thread? See username. Also I'm bored. The Spydiechef is probably the only one I wouldn'...

Re: Your Favorite Slysz Design And Why

For me it's the Spidiechef (Honorable Mention to the Swayback in my pocket today).

The Spidiechef is a very usable knife that also carries very well.

Also a shout out to the Spidiechef 2 on Macin's instagram & the WASP that you can't find anywhere.
