Re: Spyderco/Phil Wilson Bow River
My old tenacious is awesome. I never noticed the edge being bad. I think it's a great idea for this affordable fixed blade.

Re: Spyderco presence at Seki city cutlery festival?
Such a shame that The Edge in Shibuya closed. Was one of the best shops I've ever seen. Had so many vintage models it was like a museum.

Re: How about an American fixed blade?
Another vote for a M4 fixed blade made in the US. Would like a smaller EDC fixed blade for actual use, but I will be tempted to get my first chopper if the Gayle Bradley's design is made!

It takes usually a few weeks to even 2 months for us living in Europe to get sprints. So don't worry, they are coming :)

Re: Spyderco Sprig question
I have had my eye on the Sprig for quite some time. I do quite a bit of hunting and fishing and I think it might just be about the perfect knife. Bark River makes the Bird and Trout in Elmax that looks fairly similar to the Sprig. What are the advantages of the blade steel (S90V?)of the sprig compa...

It's a shame to hear the BJH is not up to par. But will still have to give it a go. Loved it at the Ams meet

This is a safe queen for me too. It's very comfy in the hand tho. I believe at the time it was one of the highest MSRP knives Spyderco brought out.

Re: The P'Kal
I've carried the p'kal for some time in the past. Love the blade. I don't practice any martial arts but I just enjoyed its presence in my pocket. The action is great once you get used to it. Finding that perfect grip pinching g10 and the hollow in the clip. I feel like Clint Eastwood with that thing...

Lum tanto would be very nice but Centofante 3 would be the best user for me.

Re: Any Super Blue Steel in the Immediate Future?
I would love a super blue or Hap40 spyderco chef's knife... Hitachi Blue is a great steel for kitchen knives... as long as you're willing to deal with the rust issue. I have a few hand forged Japanese kitchen knives in blue 2, I make sure to wipe and then promptly wash them when I'm done using them...

Re: Sprig question
Great blade. I use this at work for boxes and at home in the kitchen for deboning chicken. Got it to try out a short thin edged fixed blade and that s90v. Can't say that it has a handle made for wood ether. The sheath is well made and I find it comfy to have on the belt. Edge retention has been amaz...

Anyone enjoy the p'kal? I've always paired it with a utility blade like a pm2 but I wonder how it will work as a all in one edc blade.

I have my dream knife: mantra 1 with no flipper tab If I could have some wishes come true: 1. Sprig/southfork K390 sprints 2. Delica/Dfly M4 sprints 3. Junction M4 or K390 sprint Oh man the Sprig or Junction in k390 or M4 sounds so good. Haven't got the Junction yet but quite tempted. I enjoy these...

Re: Tenacious lockup wear
I have a 10 year old tenacious and its still going strong. Was my first of many spydies so it didn't get constant use since it's a combo edge, but has been flicked open and closed many many many times. It's a great knife and it should last

Re: Lum Tanto...Yes or No
Given this model is produced in Japan I am guessing a local steel would be most likely and the lead time would be long even if we get a yes on this. Hap 40? Hap 40 would be spectacular. And for once there might be less complains about a clad blade given that is traditional for some tantos. Yes it w...

Re: Red Loctite - An Official Statement from Spyderco
At this point, there's little sense dragging them over the coals for past statements and policies. What's important is that they've just defined one clear policy from here, going forward. And, at least to my sensibilities, it's the right one. I was just thinking of saying the same thing. I've been ...
