Also, since this a Spyderco forum I won't mention names but any chance of a Yojimbo or Ronin from those new guys you work with? That would just about make my day.

I own and have carried both knives, I love the civi but ditched it due to blade length and tip down carry. I have been carrying the Yojimbo as ED/SD since I got it some time ago and am very pleased w/ it.

Thanks for response reference my busted Ronin and sheath, if I ever get a day off I'll get out to Spyderco. Question, does anybody make a Yojimbo sheath for carry in the open position?

So, when I found out the Ronin was discontinued I went upt to Spyderco and grabbed another one. That was 3 weeks ago @ the outside. After about 30 or so practice draws the kydex sheath, not the one they first came w/, became very loose to the point the knife would just fall out. I figured this out w...

Got #173 and 189 as soon as they came out, I only use them for SD carry. I think the YO is one of the best smallish SD folders on the market.

I am contemplating a move to the UK. I know I cannot enjoy my CCW there, or even bring my guns but what are my other options for self defense? I am thinking here mostly knife ownership/carrying and ASP type batons.

I had the same problem w/ my first yojimbo. I drove out to spyderco and got a new one on the spot. Said something about tension being off. Check some past posts, Mike explained it real well.

Well, took my loose yojimbo up to spyderco today. It took all all of about 2 minutes for them to go in back and get a new one for me. This one is just fine and now I have two.

Well, I think it is about the best knife I have yet to handle. Traded my MOD CQD for another one yesterday. Not only is it, in my opinion, the best designed production folder on the market, now I can carry R & L. Have not found been abale to do that yet. Thanks Mike, well done.

Just got my 2nd yojimbo and have noticed a fair amount of up/down play when the blade is open. Is this something they will address @ the factory?

I use about 5 pieces of silly putty all mushed together. I do it while I drive around or whatever, it wears me out after a bit.

Got my Yojimbo and think it's about the best knife I have carried for a variety or reasons. I was wondering if it everything you hoped for in a carry knife and if not, what would you like to see change on furture productions.

Mike, will you have a hand in any of the design aspects??? Say yes! My first MOD was the tempest and I have carried it every day since, though I have bought alot of knives since. With your help I hope MOD can turn out some better product than the goofball stuff they seem to be selling now.

That tip is a drag once you drop it on the pavemant, tip first of course. I was wearing a bitter hat for a while but eventually got it fixed up myself. it is not as fine as it was but cut as well as ever.

I finally got around to that tape, file trick for getting my Tempest apart. It came apart w/ ease. Drop o' loctite and now she's as tight as out of the box. thanks.
