Re: Small Spydies
http://i1341.photobucket.com/albums/o751/Kevin_Bloomfeldt/image.jpg1_zpsbudm7bph.jpg Fun story... According to Sal, years ago the sales manager believed that the name "Ladybug" would not appeal to our troops, so they produced a special blister pack and labeled it LBK instead. I'm not sure...

Re: Which spyderco is in the mail?
Just got the Bug, Honey Bee, Grasshopper set in the mail yesterday. It was going to be a Christmas gift, but I think I can gift something else ;) Wish I ordered 3 or 4 of these sets when I had the chance! As soon as I got it my kids took one look and have to have em' so I went back to KSF(where I g...

Does this stamping seem off?
I am looking into getting my daughter her first Spydie for Christmas.... I'm thinking a purple Delica would be perfect. I came across this one on the Bay for just $45 but the stamping looks a little hokey. Thoughts?

[quote="Johnnie1801"]Gotham season 3 episode 10 - Looks like a stainless Endura or Police Screenshot_1.jpg [/quote. Definitely a SS Police. The character played by Tommy Flanagan( the man weilding the knife) is actually called "The Knife" so it should be interesting to see what h...

Re: Post your Spyderco collection in one picture!
this is my meager little spydie family photo in order of acquisition from left to right. Possibly the only three LBK blister packs of this type left in existence, Delica1 PE thin clip, Endura 4 Emerson Wave, and my favorite: Dragonfly 2 G-10 foliage green. I haven't been collecting long and I have a...

Re: I'll see your Spyderco and raise you another!
I'm going to play my Delica 1 black PE Thin Clip... I see that the broad clip has been played but not this. In the interest of continuing the game I think it should count. Also previously played knife was aus8 whereas mine is G-2 http://i1341.photobucket.com/albums/o751/Kevin_Bloomfeldt/image.jpg1_z...

Re: First gen Delica in blister pack
I know this is an older post but I just came across it... Have you found out anything else since posting this? I have 3 LBK's in similar packaging, and this and one other Delica(fully serrated) are the only others with this style of blister pack I've ever seen... and I've scoured the net for info. I...

The best way I have found to post hi resolution photos on the forum is to open a photobucket account... upload your photos, and simply copy and paste the IMG URL from photobucket directly into your comment window along with your message. If you are not sure if you did it right hit the preview box to...

Re: Oops I scratched my pretty blade! Enter the Dremel...(please share your ideas too!)
I did something like that trying to de rust an old cut throat razor from my grandfather. I ended up going through the wet dry sandpaper process ending up around 2000 grit. That is a cool effect but I'm OC about my knives and eventually re satin all my user, non coated knives. Scratches just come al...

Cool. I kind of like those moments when something goes wrong and I get that "well, nothing to lose now" attitude. I love the creative freedom that comes with that attitude. It always results in something creative and often beautiful. I like yours. If you do some more I think you should st...

Oops I scratched my pretty blade! Enter the Dremel...(please share your ideas too!)
How many times have you slipped while sharpening your blade, or hit a nail/staple etc. while cutting through material and laid a nasty gash across an otherwise flawless surface? Today my Endura 4 Emerson Wave became the latest victim. I wanted to cry, but instead I reached for the Dremel hoping to f...

Not sure if my oldest is this thin clip PE Delica: http://i1341.photobucket.com/albums/o751/Kevin_Bloomfeldt/spydies/image.jpg1_zpsovz3bc4a.jpg Or these(I have 3) LBK (aka ladybugs) in ultra rare blister packs: A couple interesting things about these... the words Lady Bug do not appear anywhere in t...

Re: Spyderco boxs.
Another type of packaging for your consideration... one that is quite rare, and I am having trouble getting info on  Sal said it is labeled only LBK instead of ladybug because the sales manager thought the military might not like the ladybug name. not entirely sure of the time(guessing ear...

Well, this G-10 Dragonfly is a hardworking knife. It just cut the throat of this baby banana and is taking a rest at the moment ;) http://i967.photobucket.com/albums/ae154/dougc-3/DSC_0047_zps019affcf.jpg mine is equally ruthless... http://i1341.photobucket.com/albums/o751/Kevin_Bloomfeldt/image.jp...
