Re: Interest in an Ikuchi sprint or exclusive?

Sprints are never a bad idea. ;) And the Ikuchi is amongst my favourite Spydies. So elegant. So special.

How about a larger Ikuchi though? Still slim, yet say 20% larger? I'd dig that....

Re: Spyderco 2021 Lists: Delivered & Upcoming

It's no official thread run and controlled by :spyder: staff. Not sure if they'd do it. But I'm sure Kristi is reading this, and might check this... it is a good idea.

Re: A Kydex Thread

Question: to bring the kydex into the shape I want, is heating = softening it and then cutting it with regular scissors an option? Have you tried this? Or does fitting it while it's cold and stiff bring any benefits? Yes, heating=softening=shaping. You need to press it to form it. If you form it pr...

Re: Elastic Ceramic. Wow!

Does anybody know how ceramic blades are being produced? Wouldn't Spyderco need new machinery or tools or whatever to be able to produce a mule from this stuff?

Re: Elastic Ceramic

How is a ceramic blade being produced? I have no idea. But I can imagine that Spyderco would need to invest in different / new machinery maybe in order to be able to produce say a mule with this?

Re: Is Sal Glesser Irreplaceable?

I had the feeling that lately Michael Janich took over Sal's mission to welcome each new forum member. Well not take it over, just support Sal. :) I don't know if I've ever seen a forum post by Eric. Eric's for sure super busy with the business side of Spyderco, so that's why, and it's totally ok! I...

Re: Retire The PM2?

There are other "Shaman" designs in-the-works, including a thinner lighter one with a thinner blade stock. sal Looking forward... Such a great design the Shaman, but will look perfect in the "little bit lighter" version Will look good, maybe even great in the "little bit lighter" version, but is pe...

Re: Favorite factory carbon fiber scales?

I don't own one (I wish I would) but I'd vote for the fluted CF of the N5.

Of the ones I own, I like the Para3 52100 CF scales the most. Very grippy, yet not aggressive.

Re: Retire The PM2?

Hear me out: Here is my proposal. Make a thinned out Shaman. Thinner scales and blade stock. Fix the nub everyone hates. This creates a knife that for all intents and purposes makes the PM2 obsolete. The Shaman basically fixed all the mechanical issues with the PM2. Got rid of the standoffs that ma...

Re: A Kydex Thread

Working with Kydex really is easy. ... Nice work! :) It's really good to see you did this yourself and experienced just how possible it is to make your own kydex sheath at home. I hope this inspires more people to give it a try. Well done! That's why I posted this. Again, I did not do it all myself...
