Re: Sal; will we ever see...

K390 is on the rise, while ZDP-189 is pretty much done. Maybe it will be used in a sprint of an exotic model, but I wouldn't count on the Endela or Delica for that.

Re: Z-Wear Shaman: availability discussion & lookout thread

Change of plans. Took too long, now there's not going to be any Spyderco purchase from me for the next 6 months. Instead I was able to get the wife to agree on another totally not necessary but soooooo nice to have extravagance. So long... What could be more important than a Z-Wear-carta Shaman??? ...

Re: 12 reasons why the Delica is better than the Native

With all due respect, but I strongly disagree. You know I'm not a fan of FRN designs because of their haptics, but that's not the main reason here. It's pretty simple: Current Japan Spydies do not have the same fine quality as their Golden produced bros & sis. Three days ago I fetched my FRN Spydies...

Re: Collection Limiting Rules

No duplicate models. This rule stands. And initially only one spydie per steel. But that rule got to be put to rest with the arrival of the original Smock in S30V, since I had already owned the Szabo Folder, but had to have the Smock as well. Now I have four S30V Spydies (Szabo, Smock, Ikuchi, Hanan...

Re: 3/4 of 2020 are almost passed...

To our European friends (@Wartstein, @aicolainen,etc...) who have prohibitively expensive Spyderco retail prices in your region, have you ever considered using a shipping/forwarding services like myUS or Shipito? That's how we get our blades here in our country for US retail prices plus the shippin...

3/4 of 2020 are almost passed...

... and I have only added 4 Spydies to my collection so far. Ikuchi and Hanan arrived back in February, and between then and now just two more - my first two Spydie kitchen knives, a Counter Puppy and a Utility Knife 4.5". They are great cutting tools, but... No new pocketable/playable Spydies since...

Re: flipper recommendation

Another vote for.Smock or Ikuchi. Many people don't like the missing cutting edge of the Smock (I don't care), or the difficulty to deploy the Ikuchi (I have zero problems, cause I know what to do). I love them both like crazy. :)

Re: Hanan Detent Tune-Up

It is a true gentlemen's folder, small and handsome. S30V is a good steel, titanium never gets boring, nor does a comp lock. The clip is pretty and functional, and the blade is beautifully shaped. Like you I'm happy that I picked one up, even better that it was at a very good price.

Re: Hanan Detent Tune-Up

I learned from this forum how to improve the action by deepening the hole some time ago, and even bought some micro tools to do the digging. But then I found the best technique to flip the Hanan, and it is now no problem at all for me - so I kept it untouched. Yes, it's still possible to shake deplo...

Re: S45VN Forest Green G-10 (Diamond Arc Pattern)

I like the idea, and I'm very sure we're gonna see S45VN all over the place with time.

Jojimbo2, Lil' Native are still missing in my collection. Chief as well, but I'm not quite sure I'd be able to give it the love it sure deserves.

Hi Archangel,

We're still working with Maxamet. Some models each year.

Sal, you kept your word with the upcoming Sage 1 Maxamet. Thank you for that!

Nevertheless: the Maxamet roadmap still has more models in-the-works? It's not over yet?

Re: S35vn on the Tenacious...what does it mean?

Hi Michael, If the product isn't marked, how would you know? sal If the product is not marked, and the packaging neither, obviously it's impossible. Most products, even cheap junk toys or electronics, do carry a Made In label or stamp. I have higher expectations from products Made In country A or B...

Re: SmallFly 2!

With all due respect i think it looks like a "BaliSong converted" regular blade in a bit of a "home cooked" fashion. It hurts my OCD when i compare it to the OG Spyderfly or Hinderer Nieves.. Yeah, I had the same thought. Looks like a regular pivot folding blade with two thin (too thin?) handles. K...

Good stuff in this reveal! I'll definitely get those wharncliffe manbugs, and I have to find a way to get my hands on that smallfly somehow!

Are butterflies / balisongs legal in the Netherlands??

They are not in Germany.

Re: S35vn on the Tenacious...what does it mean?

I guess we'll "hide-n-watch". There is a lot going on with China and the US right now, and most Americans seem unaware. We're in sort of a "Cold War" with China right now. Europe does not require Country of Origin, so Europeans don't even know where their products are coming from. Eric and I spent ...
