Re: Any 'Pull Through' Sharpeners worth a Darn?
I suppose you could call the Worksharp a pull through sharpener. I have wanted the Ken Onion edition for a long time now. It seems to be very well reviewed and quite popular. A mate of mine is the editor of an Australasian shooting magazine and gets all sort of goodies from different distributors t...

Re: Strop Confusion
OP for my Edge Pro I use a couple of the kangaroo strops with different grades of stropping emulsion compound; BUT I've also made my own and mounted leather on the blanks that were included in my Edge Pro kit. I keep them separate so I don't cross contaminate the strops with coarser compound and whe...

Re: Reprofiling Questions.
Whitetail, I've used the 120 grit stone for reprofiling in the past but it takes a while and the stone will dish out which then requires flattening. I switched to an Atoma 140 diamond plate/stone; I keep track of the number of strokes I use to attain a burr and then do the same number of strokes on ...

Re: Edge Pro vs Wicked Edge for Spyderco folders
One more question. Do you guys use an angle cube and do you feel it is a necessity? Yes, I use an angle cube to set the initial angle and I also use a drill stop collar underneath with my starting sharpening stone (search youtube videos on how to) ; that way when I change stones to different grits ...

Re: Edge Pro vs Wicked Edge for Spyderco folders
If I were to do the Edge Pro again I would do it just like you're doing Bugs except I would also add a leather strop with emulsion compound of your choice; that's where you really get those hair whittling edges. Periodically stropping will maintain that razor edge! I love that I can maintain the sam...

Re: Edge pro apex.
Once I've got my edge set, for touching up I have a plate with a strop glued on. Unless I chip or roll an edge stropping will have it back to hair whittling! :)

BBS still has it.
I only have E4 though, and being Endura guy, I'd say go for it. Tried my friend's D'fly and found it too small even though my hand is medium small.
And so does GPK at a very good price, same as when they came out!
