Re: Main Blade Scratch Removal ZDP 189? Sandpaper .

I've gotten good results with the green scotchbrite pads rubbing the same direction as the pattern on the blade; it will dull your edge but after that treatment a good sharpening is called for :)

Re: Sal, hope to hear from you

If Sal says that he is going to look into it, he will. No doubt. But things don't happen overnight If this continues to get attention on social media - the sense of urgency may increase. I for one if I had read this thread first, I would not have ordered my Mantra and am really thinking about retur...

Re: Gayle Bradley Advocate First Impressions?

Hi, Watched this video from Apostle P (Rob) describing in more detail washer/bearing issues that he & others have been encountering as the Advocate is being deployed/flipped more. As I stated earlier within the comments, mine wasn't nearly as worn as his is. He'll be placing a call into Spyderco...

Re: Gayle Bradley Advocate First Impressions?

Happy New Year All! I'm following a post in one of the fb Spyderco fan groups; someone had posted a picture of the galling that is happening on the scales behind the washers; the action on mine was not smooth when I received it, I worked it a few times when I first got it and then put it aside and w...

Re: Spyderco s110v blade black handle

You'll need to swap blades/scales or dye the scales black. ^^^ This would be the way to go, in my case I wanted a dark blue so I RIT dyed the scales with Royal Blue powdered dye and now they are a dark blue instead of the original burple. Dyeing scales to black would be pretty easy. Welcome to the ...

Re: Do you play with your knife in the car.

No, I do not play with my :spyder:, or any knife, in the car while driving or riding. If I have to deploy my :spyder:, or any knife, in the car then either there's truly a justified need or requirement to do so, or, the car is stopped in a safe area and in "Park" before I draw the knife f...
