Re: New Stretch Comparison

I'm not a fan of the 91mm blade length on some of the newer revised models like this stretch and the Gayle Bradley 2. I prefer the lengths that ends up with the blade being just under 3.5" like 86mm ( Manix 2 ), 87mm ( PM2, Gayle Bradley Folder ), or 89 mm ( regular Stretch ) whereas these are just ...

Don't think so, it's too bad because I think his opinion is the only one that matters, LOL.

The ZDP CF 3.5 is still being made correct? That's one of my favorite knives. Hope that's not going anywhere.

Re: Spyderco shirts

I don't like the designs with the Spyder centered in the chest fwiw, everyone's opinions will be different of course. If just the Spyder is on the front I'd prefer it smaller and over the left chest.

You mean like change the entire line from S30v to S110V or just making a sprint of every popular model?

Me too. Given the feedback about the manix2 and military cruwear runs I'd have thought the PM2 in cruwear would be a no brainer.

I'm a lefty and don't have a problem with the compression lock. I haven't noticed an advantage or disadvantage using it left vs right.

But to be honest when I carry one knife I carry it right handed carry.

Re: Spyderco shirts

Manixfan, I agree a business casual polo with a really subdued logo would be cool too. But I'd like the design like losinground mocked up in a tshirt too.

I'm now wondering: have they had this stuff in the past and it didn't sell well or just too busy to do it? Why no recent Spyderco shirts? I ...

Spyderco shirts

Are you guys ever gonna have shirts again or are they just not good sellers? I like wearing tshirts of products I like from time to time. Leatherman, Glock, Lewis Machine and Tool. Spyderco. I wanna be your human billboard.

Re: How to authenticate Delica 4 FFG in blue ?

As long as Amazon is the seller and fulfiller it's totally safe.

FYI, there seems to have been a few fake Dragonfly Salts reportedly sold on Amazon so I wouldn't say totally safe.

On Amazon or by Amazon? When Amazon is the seller and fulfiller nobody else is involved and they are an authorized ...

Hi shabowie, let's not go down this road and accuse people of making personal attacks. Philo didn't call anyone delusional.

If you feel the thread has been hijacked I'll bow out, but I wanted to address this point. A delusional person is literally just a person with delusional ideas. It's like ...

Re: Which Spyderco Knives Would You Like To See in K390?

For a maker it allows a much less expensive hardening for one because hot tempering is much less cost than deep quenching (cryogenics).

What would the cost benefits be if it was a cheaper heat treatment process and maybe a little bit better grindability? Would it be enough of a benefit per unit ...

Did you even bother to read the OP? Nowhere was it said that they "prefer it over 10V. "

Your "logic" is IMO delusional at best..

Actually it seems like Cliff is just restating the concept of opportunity cost in a different manner.

Re: When refurbishing a dull blade to high end class I found out that Sal was 100% correct

Do you find that aggressive edge breaking down faster in use? I put some polish on my edges, but I'm finding good results by working on avoiding rounding and minimizing burr formation. I thought when I used less refined edges in the past that when the edge wore a little that slicing aggressiveness ...
