Sage 5 stops

I don't have one, but disassembly vids show two stop pins in both the G10 and FRN models. They are set up differently, but both have two.
Why would they need two? There is a sizable pin in the standard location.

Re: M390 vs 20CV vs 204P - 3rd Generation Powder Metallurgy

Good stuff, thank you. My experience is limited. With the knives I have, I like the M390 best because it's a Para 3, great HT and grind . My only 20CV not so much, of course it's "another" brand, and a Co that is known for a soft HT and no full flat grind. I have a Southard in 204P that is quite goo...

Re: stonewash/acidwash

Stonewash as in the "old" CRK regular.
Some call it the "industrial look". Beautiful.
By the way, they don't use that look anymore.

Love all five of these but, if push came to shove, my favorite among them is still the second from the right because it's the most compact of the lot.

Re: Rex45

How the heck are we ever supposed to buy the knives we love if 20 different dealers get 10 knives and sell out in seconds? Who can seriously keep up with this? As a long time spyderco die hard of 12 years, I am surprisingly frustrated and close to being done. I have been eagerly awaiting the para 3...

Oh, I sure could see LC200N in dealing with salt bags, never occurred to me living on the Gulf Coast. I don't fish saltwater anymore.

My Native 5 Lightweight

The Native 5 Lightweight is back in my rotation. :) I don't always like FRN but the Native 5 and the Para 3 Lightweight, I do like. The Native 5 is a good looking knife and feels great in the hand. Today, I have the Cruwear blade fitted to the beautiful gray handle. This is a great combination. Now ...

UK Pen ?

I see the current UK's are fitted with CTS BD1N steel.
Today I dug up a an old UK Lightweight in GIN 1, now I've never really carried it, I sharpened it, that's it.
How do these two steel compare? Guessing the Carpenter steel is an improvment???

Looking at the Sage 5 LW

The Sage 1 was a eye opener for me when they came out, before that one the Calypso Jr was my go to knife. The Sage 1 was a bit more hefty and was great in hand, love the knife.(still do) I'm looking at the lightweight Sage 5 because of how much I like the Para 3 LW over the G10. Is there any differe...
