Re: Spydie vs Bugout

This is easy, almost any Spyderco will cut better than any Benchmade. I have several BM's, the best cutting one is the Mini Ritter Grip M390, but still isn't ground as well(for cutting) as a Spyderco. Still, I would get a BO if they put a steel more to my liking like (20CV, Cruwear, CPM XHP). No to ...

Re: About Spyderco's Stonewash...

The Maxamet stonewash is my favorite Spyderco stonewash finish.
Of course, Golden does a fine job of finishing all of their blades.

Re: I want a Sage 5 in a premium steel!!!

Yes, premium steel yes.
I would even go with CTS XHP, just almost anything but S30V.
Lets go all the way Lightweight, in BD1N

Manix Ball cage

I have an older translucent blue, peened model.
The clear plastic cage broke.
IS THERE A FIX?
Now I know Flytanium makes a brass, copper, and titanium replacement.

Short of drilling out the peened pins I see no solution. Help!

I've drilled peened knives before with good results.

Re: How Spyderco changed your approach to knives

The fact a knife company made a knife that you can cut things easily. blade geometry! My first Spyderco was the old stainless steel handled one made in Japan. Clip to your pocket, pull it out with one hand, open it with one hand, close it with one hand. Wow, what a change from my Large Stockman Case.
