This came up a while ago in an old thread and I believe Sal was considering the idea of a limited sprint run of a micarta handled street bowie.

I originally wasn't interested in the Captain because of the liner lock but I picked one up towards the end of its run and now it probably my favorite Spyderco folder. I just love the blade shape.

The photos of the proto Breeden rescue don't do much for me. What I would really like to see would be ...

Spanish Navaja

At least some people have handled and seen a prototype of a Spanish Navaja at Blade show. However it may be more appropiate to consider it a concept model.

This is one I would really like to see.

Received My Sheath

After more than six months I finally got my River City Sheath today and it is very nice :) Besides the wait I have no complaints. It sounds like Mike might be up and running again so hopefully those other people that were also waiting for things from River City Sheaths will start getting them as ...

I still prefer the design of the Push Bowie. It is much shorter and I think a Micarta version would look great next to a Street Beat.

River City Sheaths

I am pretty sure that emailing River City Sheaths at this point is a waste of time. I recently started sending polite reminders every two weeks that I think most businesses would respond too. On September 26th it will be six months since I paid for a sheath and the only email responses I ever have ...

River City Sheaths

River City Sheaths makes very good sheaths and I too wanted a better one than the factory sheath. I paid $72.45 (including shipping) for a River City Sheaths Black Street Beat sheath with a Spyderco G-Clip. I believe the carbon fiber one is more expensive. For the Street Beat and other common knives ...

A micarta version of the Stree Bowie would be considered a variant of the original. There are probably less than 100 "all variant" members in the Collectors Club and some of those are accounts owned by dealers expressly to insure having a few pieces of Sprint Runs.

Well good that increases my ...

Sal,

I think a Micarta Perrin Bowie would be great. It would be good to have a matching big brother for my Street Beat. I do have concerns however that a small run of 300 - 400 would only leave 100 - 200 for us regular buyers after the 200 assigned to the Spyderco Collectors are subtracted. It ...

I just got my Temperance 2 and it is super nice knife. Getting it has just increased my interest in a Perrin Street Bowie 2 of this quality. Hopefully Spyderco will consider making one.

I think with the Perrin push Bowie Spyderco could probably do two versions, one with a black micarta handle to match the street beat and another skeleton version for people to customize as or if they wish.

I would definitely vote for Yeah.

I wouldn’t think that the tooling costs would be anymore than the Temperance 2 since both are essentially new knives . I imagine it could be done in the same way as the Temperance 2 with a limited run of about 1200. It would be a custom collaboration instead an in ...

I agree with both suggestions. I really like my Street Beat and have become a Perrin fan since getting it.

I think a Perrin Push Bowie would be great. There is a picture of one a little more than half down on this webpage: http://www.bladeart.com/artists/fred_perrin/fred_perrin.htm I think a ...
