My Stretch VG -10 is enough for my daily needs except chopping more than 1/2 inch or so.

Re: Your top 2 Spyderco folders and WHY.
1) Stretch VG-10. Blade length , size , and mainly ERGOs fit my hand and pocket perfectly. 2) tough choice between Pac salt and Salt 1. Carry both on the boat but also carry Salt 1 on a tether while I wadefish. Don't go fishing without them both. Probably would pick the Salt 1 for versatility but on...

Re: Knife Noob Deciding On First EDC
Welcome. I personally found the Delica a bit undersized for my hand and the Endura a bit oversized. While they are great knives , the Stretch is in another class compared to them. IMO it is the best blend of blade length , scale length , and weight for an EDC blade. I have three now and considering ...

Re: I don't get it: automatics "restricted"?
I live in Texas and I am not sure I like the way that reads. "Button or other device .....gravity or centrifical force... I was at a hunting and fishing expo this past weekend and a vendor was selling automatics. He says they are now legal in Texas.
That sounds like my Stretch is a switchblade.

Re: Dropped the cash on a Salt 1.
I have the Salt 1 and the Tasman Salt. I carry them on my wade belt for re-tying lures , emergency line cutting , cutting bait etc. since I am fishing saltwater they are a must. Also EDC the Salt 1 occasionally. Very versatile blade. congratulations.

Re: Stretch or Endura - which one to choose?
stretch hands down. The choil is a cut out finger slot where the cutting edge of the blade meets the handle. Allows you to choke up on the handle by moving your index finger forward a bit.

Re: Poll: Would a Para Military 2 in FRN or FRCP interest you?
No , while I really like FRN I agree with those that feel I can get a 3.5 blade in Frn already with the Stretch. Also like the the heft of the PM 2 but I would like some other color / steel options. Same thoughts about options on the Stretch VG -10 so the best EDC available (my opinion ) can stay in...

Re: White scales
I understand they have offered some in the past but it would seem to be a natural especially for the Enduro / Delica that they already offer in a bunch of colors. White scale black blade Stretch or Manix or ? makes my mouth water :)
