Re: What's your favorite Spyderco that's a little bit of a "hidden gem?"

The Stretch 1 is definitely a hidden gem. I've said it before, but it's Spydercos best "sleeper" model. It doesn't get the attention it should because it falls a bit short in the aesthetic department for some, but it's one of their most comfortable and best slicing knives! Also, the Hungarian is ano...

Re: Pobody’s Nerfect! Para 3 calamity.

The title of that video says "Para™ 3". I would guess the addition of the trademark (™) should signify there has been no name change. In casual conversation saying Paramilitary 3 or PM3 doesn't matter, everyone knows what you're referring to. Officially though, it's still just Para 3. :spyder: I thi...

Re: Pobody’s Nerfect! Para 3 calamity.

Team "Para 3" here! :D LOL

My box from the first ever run of Para 3's says "Para 3"

I wonder if its only the S35VN models marked this way ?

You forgot to request it in LC200N also  On a serious note though, great find Spydersense, t...

Re: Ikuchi - The New Kiwi?

To me they're pretty different. Compact and elegant might be the only features they share. Also, I feel like the Wharncliffe blade is a defining feature of the Kiwi.

It's available directly from Spyderco in BD1N, but I'm not sure of anywhere else at the moment.

Re: mid sized "gentleman" folder

Like others have said, any of the Chaparrals, Sages, or Mantras would be great options in the Delica size range. Though it might be smaller than you’re looking for, the Techno 2 would be a really cool gentleman’s folder to try! Your post just made me realize for the first time: While Stretch, Endura...

Re: Cat

I also love the Cat model! I had the 440C model without jimping, and it was easily my most carried knife at the time. I owned it while I lived in the city, which has a 2.5" blade limit, and it was a great knife for me. I ended up losing it a couple years back now, but still intend on replacing it! W...

Re: Spyderco Amsterdam Meet 2019 Report

I know some people have complained that all of these upcoming knives are just slightly different variations of current knives, but that is what a lot of us want. I don't really have any interest in things like the Ikuchi and Pattada and what not. Different strokes for different folks as they say. A...

Re: You're So Jaded...

I still love collecting Spyderco knives, but I feel nearly the same way about the Lil Native as you. It is everything I wanted out of an "EDC knife" back when I bought my first EDC knife. Had the Lil Native been available back then, I can almost guarantee I wouldn't have the collection I do today. I...

Re: Why do you have the knives you do?

I enjoy collecting just as much as I enjoy using my knives. So for me design is the primary reason why I buy a knife. If I like a design, thats typically enough justification for me to go ahead and buy it. Design history, design intent, and designer are often things that pique my interest in certain...

Re: We are saved! Baseball Season is here!

Cheering for the Red Sox was a part of growing up around Boston, so its safe to say I'm a Red Sox fan. :D It was a fun time to be a fan when they "broke the curse" and they've continued to be a good team since then! Also, I played baseball as a kid so, of course, I watched the home team for inspirat...
