Re: A shorter Paramilitary

Why? The PM2 already has a small cutting surface and the handle is just right.

Re: Endura 5 ever coming out?

If they're gonna take the endura further lockwise it's probably gonna be that new type of backlock that's completely different.
I don'r know what the Endura 6 is gonna be but I'm certain I'm gonna happy with it

Re: Tenacious durability?

Oh yeah a Tenacious will cut you if you're not carefull. But my EDC Endura has cut everyone that has handled it unlike my Tenacious(like 50%) Point is my friends can't hadle knives or my Endura is evil.

Re: Is rust likely on a SB pivot? (DF2)

Constantly using the knife would actually keep the rust at bay. You're constantly polishing the pivot area. I would definitely say put some oil on it though. Something kinda viscous that would stick around. Mineral oil works pretty well. Odorless colorless and the usp version is foodsafe. The back ...

Re: Tenacious durability?

I've had mine and used it for well over 2 years, abused it once and besides the g10 smootherning and the beaty scars on the coating nothing has changer. Locks up like a vault and the lock has baaaaaaaarely moved. This knife is a steal, for $35 I got a perfect knife. I have a Manix 2 and there's seve...

Re: Endura 5 ever coming out?

I know a lot don't like the FRN but I love it, the G10 version just doesen't feel like an Endura and certainly doesen't weigh like one. The texture is right and the weight is perfect all that's missing is a decent steel. VG-10 is great, in fact I love it but S30V is becoming a standard. As Nathan fr...

You'd be amazed how much of a workhorse this knife can be.

Re: New PM2 what is the angle?

Leave it till it's dull then reprofile it on the Edge Pro. Maintanence will be easier in the future and from what I've read the bevel isn't even which is the problem.

Why? From what I've seen the Taiwan made ones have had better fit and finish.

Re: So i guess both my live and trainer P'kals are fake

The laser engravings would be a giveaway, each factory does it differently http://i677.photobucket.com/albums/vv140/ballistic82/SpydieLogos.jpg" target="_blank But to be honest I don't have this knife and I really can't tell the difference from pictures. You've used them, did the steel hol...

Re: Question About Manix 2

A side note: Only took a couple months after the exposure to acetone for the cage to fail, not edc either. Getting the cage replaced was a breeze through customer service though :) Acetone is a pretty stron solvent, I'm actually surprised it took so long. As for customer service I don't know if it ...

Re: Question About Manix 2

Sounds like you've used that knife a lot. I've been hearing about cages breaking and it's kinda alarming because if mine breaks it will cost me almost as much as a new knife to ship to and from Spyderco. That being said I doubt this knife will see as much chemicals as your's, hopefully. I got mine a...

Re: Jimping Poll...

I like the fine jimping like on the Manix 2 and Endura. The jimping on the Tenacious is very well done too but for more time consuming tasks it becomes a bit uncomfortable. I'd also go with "No jimping" because some knives really don't need it. Like the Manix 2 for instance could do withou...

Re: Question About Manix 2

I would avoid grease on this one. There's very little contact area with all the moving parts, the highest point of friction is the pivot itself and you'd be better off with some type of finer lubricant that can get down in there. I like dry lubes that go on wet and leave a film behind, like Tuff-Gl...

Question About Manix 2

So I purchased a FFG S30v sating finished Manix 2 four days ago and I'm pretty happy with it it cuts like a beast and asks for more. My question is regarding lubrication. I've been using lithium grease on my Enduras where the lockbar contacts the blade tang and it makes it smooth as it can be and la...
