2017 Calendars

I've been waiting for the new calendar to be released.

The other day I even sent an email asking about status and was told "soon".

And today it SAYS "SOLD OUT" IN VERY LIMITED QUANTITIES !!??

What's going on with Spyderco communication !!??

Re: Nirvana Titanium

How would you like to receive a new expensive RIL that you can't close with two hands, others are having the same problem, and all the bluster is...."just break it in" !!?? And then the crap about, "it's because the knife is made so beautifully made, it's supposed to be that way"...

Re: Nirvana Titanium

Over the line Smokey! If you have a problem with a product then give the manufacturer the chance to make it right. That is the right thing to do. You called Eric's integrity into question and he took the high road and asked for the opportunity to make it right. You now seem as though that's not eno...

Look at the video.....everyone is having problems !!! https://youtu.be/498w-iOcQkk And the ones who are suck ups to Spyderco say it's not really a problem, BUT IT IS !! It's funny that you've linked that video, because if you look at the followup video it says "Spyderco Nirvana Update-No More ...

Re: Nirvana Titanium

I am very sorry you do not have the patience or the know-how to deal with a problem that so many of us have already reported, but so many of us have reported the solution. Unlike Sal, Eric rarely posts on this forum, something we hope we can convince him to do more of in the future but it's his dea...

Re: Nirvana Titanium

On one hand, I'm completely sympathetic to the OP for spending the money he did and getting a knife that doesn't seem to function properly. If I had spent ~$430 on a knife and it stuck so bad it took two hands to unlock, then I'd be extremely disappointed too. On the other hand, I'm completely baff...

Re: Nirvana Titanium

I wouldn't spend a lot of time trying to help rangerover. He's not here for that. He isn't trying to resolve problems or gather information unless it agrees with his own perceptions. Maybe after the lashing out stage he'll be more receptive. It's not a "perception" that the knife won't cl...

Re: Nirvana Titanium

To all, does anyone have some visuals on how to apply pencil graphite? Got knife is same lock matter, cleaned it, tried to add graphite, but not much is being applied there. Be careful. Some will claim you're a problem too because you don't think you should get an expensive knife that LOCKS OUT !! ...

Re: Nirvana Titanium

This is not a defect, at all. In fact, it's not a lock problem specifically. Yes, a LOT of people are having this problem with the Nirvana. This is a common and known fact with RIL/Framelock knives with Ti handles. My Techno was the same way, and it took very little time for it to wear in. For more...

Re: Please more s90v so little options

I agree with you. Looks like there are a lot of people not happy with the RIL TI LOCK-OUT !! Apparently, many people knew at least 6 years ago that TITANIUM RIL LOCKS are a major "Lock-out sticking problem". Titanium is softer and sticks on steel !! So, on past knives (Spyderco Titanium Mi...

Re: Nirvana Titanium

Looks like EVERYONE is having the same LOCK DEFECT !! It's impossible to close. How could anyone at Spyderco check the mechanism, see that it won't close, and then say THIS IS OK !!?? For the price point.....they should work smooth as butter, otherwise they should not be cleared by QC. I can tell t...

Re: Nirvana Titanium

Interesting that this thread popped up. I have heard in various forums of this issue. Then a few days ago I was in OKC and the big gun store there which has a nice display had one. Of course I had to touch it. Hated it. Once I got it open I could not close it. At all. The guy behind the counter com...

Nirvana Titanium

I just purchased this knife and while the finish of the knife is beautiful, the fit is terrible !! The RIL is so tight that I must use a piece of hard plastic to "pry the RIL open" in order to close the knife. I have been a casual knife collector for over 20 years, and I have several RIL k...

Hopefully, the 2017 calendar will be available for purchase BEFORE DECEMBER 31st !!!

Last year's production was a mess with nothing but excuses on why it was delayed.
