Re: MT40P – HIC Mule Team Dropping Soon!

I knew these would cost more - torn between aiming for 1 vs 2 (if those are both options).

Re: MT36P K294 MICROCLEAN Mule performance thread

The take away I had from this is that the knife retained its sharpness pretty well until it hit the hardest wood I had on hand. It was able to complete the job without any touch ups, although I was tempted on the Jatoba wood. The knife performed better than I thought it would at 17.5 dps and it was...

needed a dock for parking 7 mules, my new 3D printer answered the call.
combo of M398, SPY27, CPM 15V, and AEB-L (so far)
That is very cool! I wonder about stacking them, if I have more than 7 mules (I think I do but not many more)

RFP - Bestech Swordfish in glorious magnacut (4" blade, I think atlantic knife still has them on sale for 90 bucks, or they have cheaper models if one were so inclined, with lesser steels) LFP - Honey Badger large serrated Claw. great little knife, almost the size of a Spyderhawk, just with a f...

Re: Crazy Good Deals Part 2!!

I've had good luck with dack. My most recent order (an assist and I think a street beat) has been taking a very long time though. over a month now (ordered 11/27). Previous were quicker, week and a half maybe. No matter, I should get it soon probably.

Re: C-60 Ayoob Campaign: No I Won't Shut Up

I'm just a bit confused by your suggestion. All of my past VG-10 and current Cruwear C-60 Ayoob models are at an ideal weight for everything I've ever used them for. But I'm sure there are going to be people that have varied desires concerning weight and other features. For all intent and purposes ...

oh, that's awesome. without a lock I would want to make it a great slicer with great edge retention in particular.

Love the SNK exclusives. I have a native chief, a LW PM3, a wayne goddard (was surprised to see that one!) and a Manix 2 XL. Great looking knives and 4V is one of my favorite steels.

Re: C-60 Ayoob Campaign: No I Won't Shut Up

Can we have a lightweight version and wire clip🙂 I would be open to any ideas for a lightweight model but I just can't even imagine a C-60 model in FRN. With Titanium being a relatively lightweight metal I could maybe go that route. In the past I've always been fond of several of Spyderco's Titaniu...

Cool idea. Thanks, Bolster!

It was interesting thinking about this, when the knives I chose had flareups in discussion here, on BF or on more recent style social media.

I was fortunate enough, some months back, to find one in new condition at a great price that had already been upgraded. I have almost the exact same knife, red micarta scales, titanium aftermarket clip, mine has the proesentation side linsers milled a bit for better access to the lockbar IIRC. Mine...

Having the end of the scale at a slightly different angle than the plunge line is making my OCD act up!
Skeezes me out a bit too. I think if it were nowhere near the angle, I wouldn't car so much but what is that, 5-10 degrees off? looks extra out of sorts for that reason, IMO.

Re: Reveal 14 Live!

Could manufacturing cost of two more clip positions (on a $250 knife) be why Spyderco didn't bring over 4-way carry from the similar Shaman? It's a mystery to me. I sincerely doubt that. I'm not entirely sure why they chose this hole pattern but I am not convinced that it could have 6 more threaded...

Re: Reveal 14 Live!

So, The Bodacious is about the size of a Shaman, but with that choil delete, it is 3/8" longer on the edge (not ginormous but a sizable difference, probably about 10% more edge for a rough comparison). It also has flat G10 scales (one of the major complaints some people have about the Shaman. I...

Re: BladeHQ Exclusive Yojumbo M-4

Okay, I'm interested for sure. I do have one of the CF/S90V ones, which is pretty awesome but M4 is maybe my alltime favorite knife steel for a user. (4V/cruwear/magnacut are up there, but M4 cuts a little more than any of them). Trying to save money, but after seeing reveal 14, I realize I may not ...
