Re: Scientists found nanoplastics in arteries

Hi, micro plastics may well be a problem, for us health wise. They have been found present in Ocean fish here in New Zealand... Even more scary is the possibility of ingesting plastics from air. Think about all the plastic bottles, bags and toys that are discarded as just road trash, let alone in tr...

Re: About grounding/earthing

Hi Kwakster,, this sounds interesting. For someone who gets abused by people for interfering with TV and radios by walking into the room, maybe I need to walk around with a earth wire? I'm constantly getting electro static shocks. It used to annoy my ex wife.. If you need need a non-staining wire, t...

Re: Men's Belts?

Hi, wondering if any others are using Rubber belts?
I have a 1 inch wide one converted from a Rifle sling.
A 2 1/2 inch bought as a Free diving weight belt.

Both work great as knives and other tools stay where placed on belt when worn so don't slide around on waist

I can even remember my Mum saying to youngest Sister "have you got your hat pin" when going out on a date.
Inconspicuous and effective I'm sure...

Re: Exotic Animals Invading USA Wilderness Areas

Hi, when operating in Northrrn Australia, my crew commander was attacked by a large Taipan that completely went out of its way to attack him. VERY fast and insanely aggressive. Only thing that saved him was throwing the toilet roll at it. The strikes on the entrenching tool were quite loud. He had a...

Hi SEF, nice to hear from you again (so to speak).. Instead of a trailer home, how about a boat? Take the mast off, can be used for other things. It will have; Self contained water + collector and filtration. Solar power+ wind generator, maybe built in power genie. Cooking and heating. Water proof. ...

Re: Tips On Quitting Smoking

Hi, started at 14yrs old. Smoked for 23 yrs up to 3 packs per day. Tried giving up many times... 31 years back, decided to give it up as it was affecting my long distance kayak racing.. Started drinking GOOD quality apple juice. It stopped the physical craving. Still had to do something with my hand...

Re: Better Call Saul!!!

Hi, have just watched seasons 1,2,3 on DVD. Very funny with great cinematography and really talented Actors. Personally, I'm very anti Methamphetamine, but have put that aside to enjoy a well put together movie. I will endeavour to get hold of the remaining series. Well done to all involved in makin...

Re: Cold Steel replacing AUS Japanese steel with cheaper Chinese steel on their "Economy models"???

At one time I had 3 of Cold Steel's older AUS-8 models. The Kobun model is one that I especially remember as being a great performer in AUS-8. It had a really wicked edge when properly sharpened. I always thought that Cold Steel did a really great heat treatment of AUS-8. In many ways I liked their...

Re: 2022 Reveal — Stovepipe Thread C260TIP

In reading the Spyderco Byte it mentioned the Stovepipe/Bill the Butcher design being influenced by Civil War Era folding razors with the large scallop on the front for ease of opening by war veterans that had limited mobility. My Uncle was very active in the Civil War Reenactment circles, and was ...

Santa Claus has his house down there during the summer and we can't go down there because we will disturb the elves who are busy making toys for the next Christmas. Any idiot can launch a camera on a balloon and get a shot of a round earth. I think this is just a few people having fun because they ...
