Re: Lost Knives

Necro time

I lost my H1 DF2 in a lake today. It was IWB and I got out the canoe to take a leak in shallow water. Damnit!

Only consolation is that hopefully someone will chance upon it and look up what it is made of and how the **** it didn't have any rust on it.

As to it being a 'neurotoxin'- that's a stretch- not in the dosages that anyone would experience outside of the lab or a water treatment plant....Never forget: Anything we consume is toxic in large enough quantities- even pure water. http://thelancet.com/journals/laneur/article/PIIS1474-4422(13)702...

Re: Earth is round and orbits the sun. FACTS.

True, but we probably have at least a few folks here who think the earth is less than 10K years old, deny evolution, and think the entire fossil record is just one of Satan's tricks. Evolution is still a theory, it's never been proven because there is no fossil record of it happening. The earth bei...

Re: Earth is round and orbits the sun. FACTS.

I'm no expert. Fluoride might help tooth decay but it is also a neuro toxin. Countries without fluoride also have seen a drop in tooth decay with improved hygiene and education. Wifey's doctor said to RO filter the water, so we will drink the RO filtered water. Easy enough to do so worth a shot, she...

It's not similar to that analogy at all.

Re: Earth is round and orbits the sun. FACTS.

I just bought a Reverse Osmosis water filter to remove fluoride.

My wife has hypothyroidism.

Fluoride used to be given to women with over active thyroids so the doctor suggested we remove fluoride where possible

Re: Native 5 is probably my favorite model of Spyderco

I like that it's not too big and not too small. It's small enough not to be scary but big enough to be useful. Not that the df2 isn't useful but I just feel the Native 5 to be spot on.

I want a Bradley Bowie so bad but can't justify the price for the little use it would get.

Got this yesterday:

100% Perfect fit and finish.
I like that the G10 weighs a little more than the LW. It's probably in my top 3 right now

Re: Native 5 S110V G10 or Mantra

I ended up pulling the trigger on the Native. I had a N5 LW plain Edge and sold it, and regret it. I have a Manix 2 g10 s110v but haven't really used it, it has lovely ergos but the N5 is perfect size for me. Mantra should appeal more, but I did handle one at the Sydney knife show this year and it d...
