Re: Mystery DLT Exclusive

Not only does it give me a show side, but the laser etch or engraving feels nearly identical to the texture of the g10 so it feels better in hand imo.

That looks pretty cool. Was it laser etched?
Yes it was laser engraved.

Being a lefty, the new "show side" was kinda boring. Took it to the same local shop I had my Swayback done at.

Re: Liner lock. Should I try one?

As a lefty I like linerlocks for the fact that I still get a show side with them whereas Framelocks not so much. I cannot recall having a linerlock, even a cheap one fail on me. I prefer linerlocks where the release is more difficult to get at. I know some folks whine about it but it’s safer if you ...

Re: What did you use your Spyderco for last?

No pics but was at my mom’s with my surprisingly fantastic Ryobi 40v chainsaw, (seriously great for a homeowner tool) pruning one of her trees. After putting everything away found a few 1/2” thick trees trying to grow behind her garage where the extension ladder goes. Used my Smock to remove them. S...

Wonder if St.Nicks will end up doing a 4v Tuff when this one eventually sells out..?

Re: A question on Tip up or Tip down Set-ups

My friend used to carry his pm2 tip down right side as set up from factory, until it opened in his pocket and gave him a nasty gash in his leg. He now carries tip up right side. That way the spine is against the edge of his pocket. If the spine is against the edge of your pocket it is much safer as ...

Re: Spyderco Ikuchi info needed.

I have lrg to xlrg hands. I’m a lefty and I have some pretty bad damage to my right hand. While the cutout for the lock is rather small and is less accessible than on other models, I have no issues using the Ikuchi lock with either hand. Compression lock is outstanding, secure, reliable, durable and...

Re: Mystery DLT Exclusive

I was on the fence on this one. I said long ago that I wanted a Cruwear Tuff but I’m not a fan of blade coatings. And of course the price tag. If it had the dimples to justify some of the cost...I’m actually happy it doesn’t as I’m getting the ti side engraved. As a lefty I need to swap the clip ove...

Re: Mystery DLT Exclusive

I can’t believe I bought one, so pricey especially after exchange to Canadian. And I’m already planning on spending more to have it engraved like I did my Swayback, lol!

Re: Swayback Lookout Thread

The stock clip is really good, and on most knives I actually prefer it to the deep carry clips. But aesthetically on the Swayback I prefer the Lynch. Ordered mine from DLT.

I am really happy with how the engraving came out, I found the Ukrainian embroidery pattern and added a Spyderco bug into it with my limited “phot...

Re: Where does SPY27 Steel sits among the current Steel lines?

In my use I’m finding it similar to ctsxhp in terms of toughness, edge retention and sharpening. Both remain spotless from my fairly corrosive sweat.

Re: The comings and goings of a SwayBack

I have large hands with xl hitchhiker thumbs. I’m left handed, (so this knife is perfect for me, yay Spydie flick!) and I have extensive damage on my right hand from a tablesaw kickback years ago leaving me with limited dexterity and grip. Yet Despite these challenges, I find the Swayback very easy ...
