Re: Trademark issue?

I think this is the place to resurrect this topic. I was just browsing the internet notice this prominent banner advertisement was displayed on a news website. Plain as day it would seem this company is infringing on the round hole trademark? https://huusk.com/ "Japanese" (in name only) k...

Re: Remote Release Question

It’s a great knife for a few occasions. I bought mine in Taos NM during geology field camp in ‘98 when my jansport backpack blew up from carrying rocks. I had to replace it immediately, and the shop where I found a suitable replacement, a North Face “Mohawk” with a padded back, also sold Spydercos....

Re: Warranty woes

I have never had to use the warranty service on any of my Spyderco knives until now. But I would like to say that, in spite of being overseas, all the process was very quick and smooth. They told me to send my Siren to the Spyderco distributor here in Spain to save me the cost of shipping it to the...

Nothing wrong with good old VG-10. I have plenty of VG-10 Spydies, the latest being an Endela Wave. Beautiful knife.

Re: Para 3 LW centering

For anyone wanting to give this a try, as I found the centering problem in my particular Para 3 LW and I suspect it’s the same with most. After disassembling, note the height of the steel liner in its pocket. If it isn’t flush and is sticking up past the scale, the cause of this is the steel liner ...

Re: Spyderco catalogs and EU-import customs

I have not received my 2022 catalog yet, but my 2021 catalog took over 6 months to get to me. I had to request for it a couple of times. It was sent from a UK distribution centre if memory serves. With overall slow downs in postal services and everything else generally, I guess that's the way things...

Re: Para 3 Lightweight clone

Looks like there's are plenty of fake Para 3s going around now, in both G10 and lightweight versions. Can hardly tell the differences unless one has a real one side by side, be careful : https://youtu.be/MDat5aNYExQ&ebc=ANyPxKpzsCze-4abIdczbpiGXsVuti5TIh1sSuuveqFO2D-XH613e5504yboc-FCYzOLdwg7mNxQ...

Re: Warranty woes

Admittedly I haven't had to contact Spyderco Customer Service recently, but all my previous experience with them, particularly Charlynn, was excellent. As an overseas customer, all my communications were only via email which were promptly responded to. And they shipped parts to me, gratis, halfway a...

Re: Fake cali 3.5??

For older Spydercos, the country of manufacture is not printed on the box sticker. Can't recall when Spyderco started printing the country of manufacture, it could have been the last few years.

The small black box that you have is authentic. Have a couple of the old Remote Release & Snap It knives that came in the same black boxes.

Re: Help with an Old Endura.......

The white box marked as C10PBK98 should be for an Endura 3 with the barrel bolt pocket clip. I got a pair of C10PBK98 Endura 3 & C11PBK98 Delica 3 at that time. Still have the Delica 3.

Should be the stainless steel Police C07. True classic, especially the Spyderedge version.

Re: Ancient 440V Millie-Tell me what you can about it!

Hey I've got one of those (except with teeth). I love the Dyno jimping and the even lighter carry. A real classic. I've never taken mine apart to see the washers. 440V is no joke to sharpen. https://i.imgur.com/SGKe3GP.jpg The first Spyderco knife I ever bought was this exact same one (down to the ...

Wiha. I like the ones with "Magicspring" features, helps to hold small screws in place when doing installations : https://www.wihatools.com/magicspring-torxr-long-arm-l-key-7-piece-set This 7 piece set has all the torx drivers you need for Spyderco knives, and is my favorite. Very portable...

Looks like the Salts may be changing over to black lockbars & screws. Apart from the Dragonfly Salt, the pre-order for Pacific Salt 2 at BladeHQ also shows black hardware : https://www.bladehq.com/item--Spyderco-Pacific-Salt-2-Lockback--112409 So does the discontinued Pacific Salt too : https://...

Thank you, Charlynn

I have a cherished C50GP Centofante knife, probably 20 years old, that was still perfectly fine except for a stripped body screw that left a gap between one of the G10 handles & the back spacer. Wasn't sure if Spyderco still carried parts for such a long discontinued model but sent an email to C...

Re: Force To Open/Close A Blade Changes

I live in an Equatorial climate. Inside a cool, internal air conditioned environment, my Para 3 lightweight blade drops shut perfectly all the way back into the handles. Outside in the heat & humidity, there is definitely more friction, the blade no longer drops shut all the way. So there defini...
