Re: Is this a fake please help

Looks legit from the pics. But do check for the small notches in the recessed steel liners, see if you can post some pics there.

Another Schempp fan here. I have his Chokwe, Navaja, Equilibrium, Large Persian 2 & Hungarian folder. My favorite is the Persian 2.

Re: Would you prefer if Spyderco boxes were improved in any way?

The older gray boxes (with spider web pattern) used 10 or so years ago, before the change to the current red & black boxes, were sturdier. They used thicker card stock and tend to arrive in better condition. But some still had the problem with the black painted clips having paint worn off by abrasio...

I have absolutely no interest in martial blade applications, but I do own 2 Lil Temps (1 leaf, 1 rhino), a serrated titanium handled ATR and a Ronin..

Re: Spyderco Tenacious (Real or Counterfeit?)

Its a fake. The jimping is not correct, and the real Tenacious uses flat instead of dome-headed scale screws. Ive seen this fake at our local flea markets.

When Christy of SFO sent me replacement clip screws for my Persian recently, she also included a small tube of blue Loctite as well. Plus a Spydie sticker

Re: Customer service problems

I have dealt with Charlynn of Customer Service & Christy of SFO, and have found both to be pleasant & helpful. In the case of my last request for missing clip screws on my Persian 2, the email from Christy informed that shipping by USPS first class mail to me in Malaysia would take 2-6 weeks. It ar...

Re: Has *anyone* had success contacting Spyderco through their email addresses on the website?

I have used the email addresses customerservice@spyderco.com and sfo@spyderco.com on a number of occasions and have always gotten prompt responses from both, all the way here in Malaysia. In fact, when Charlynn (customerservice@spyderco.com) is away, I immediately get an automated response that she ...

Re: Hello, My thanks, and a question.

I too became the proud owner of a Persian 2 recently. The handle fits into the hand very nicely, and ergonomics are great. I like the upswept shape of the blade too.

GREAT CUSTOMER SERVICE

I recently bought a “new old stock” Persian 2, and on delivery found one of the clip screws missing. I tried sourcing for a re...
