Re: Very Disappointed

I have around 30 Spyderco’s, many of which have aftermarket clips, or the position has been changed. I’ve never stripped a pocket clip screw, even after they’ve been loctited down. I have partially stripped a para 2 stop pin screw, but that’s about it. It sounds like it’s all about the driver/bit yo...

Re: Why the "Restricted Models" section?

I was wondering this the other day. I would think anything related to a Spyderco knife would fit the definition of “general discussion”. I would like to see more discussion about the restricted models. We don’t seem to get much traffic in this section of the forum. I think we’d see more interest in ...

he strikes me as more of a we knives flavor of the week type of guy.
Funny you would say that! I went into a Tesla “store” in a local mall last year and noticed one of the salesmen was carrying a knife. We talked for a bit and it turned out to be a WE knife!

Re: Selling your once grail knife

My Microtech Ultratech was one of my favorite knives I ever bought, and I bought it to celebrate the legalization of auto knives in Michigan. Just sold it today in order to buy the new Embassy!

Re: I wish spyderco offered deep carry clips

I know some of you are new here but it seems like this topic comes up every few weeks. Sal has stated before that they're not really interested in making deep carry clips. I was around when Sal was considering making one, and I remember when they decided against it. However, things can change with ...

Looks like a perfect size to me! And without a choil, it should have a good amount of usable edge. Can’t wait to get mine!

Re: Spyderco Embassy is back!

Ordered one today! I even sold my ultratech to buy it. I haven’t been this excited for a knife since my first PM2. Anyone have any size comparisons?

Re: I wish spyderco offered deep carry clips

I’d be happy if Spyderco just used Lynch clips on some models. Even if it’s just an option that adds $20. I just hate buying a knife, and then waiting a few days for a clip to show up!

Re: What are your thoughts on Spyderco's Peel-ply Carbon Fiber?

Title is definitely a little confusing. I really like peel ply carbon fiber, but I’m not a huge fan of carbon fiber laminate. I don’t have a problem with it, but I’d rather just have G-10 in most situations.

Re: BladeHQ M4 Jade Dodo

I’d be interested in any reincarnation. I’d rather see one in a stainless, but M4 would be fine too. I’d love a blue M390 Dodo, or a green 204P Dodo.

Re: I believe I now have the BEST Spyderco

I absolutely love mine. My favorite steel, and my favorite color. It’s been the only knife I’ve carried for a while. The only one that might rival it is the upcoming orange XHP one!

Not sure if it’s been said, but it looks like the S35vn Para 3s have gone out to the collectors club. Keithkevinken posted a video of it earlier today.

Added the two CS ones mentioned to the Upcoming list: Para3 CTS-XHP Stonewashed Blade Orange G-10 Cutlery Shoppe (USA) Para3 CTS-XHP Black DLC Blade Orange G-10 Cutlery Shoppe (USA) Not sure if these two on the Upcoming list are still in the pipeline (I've emailed Jeff at CS on one): Manix2 CPM-S90...

Re: Lil temperance 3

I’ve wanted the LT3 since it was in development, but I’ve never got around to getting one. The price is what always drives me away. It looks like a great knife, so hopefully I end up with one some day. I’d love it as a Golden model! Then we’d have all kinds of awesome Lil temp sprints!

Re: Worst things to cut thread

I’ve found the worst things to cut are the things your friends need to borrow your knife for. That’s why I don’t loan out my knives!

I’ve never really had a problem with insulation dulling my knives. My VG-10 Delica handled it pretty well! Carpet on the other hand will destroy an edge pretty quick.

Re: Looking to buy a SAGE , just don’t know which one??

I have the 2, 3, and 5. The action on the 5 has never been great for my specific example, but still a great knife. The 3 is a little wider in the pocket, but the action is absolutely incredible. The 2 is my favorite. Mine’s perfect in every way, and I love the simplicity of it.

Re: Spyderco custom shop

I’ve always loved the idea of this. Do it for just a Para 2 or 3. I’d pay for extra if I could have my choice of scale color, and potentially the option of a couple blade steels. If I had to wait even a couple of months for it, that’s fine with me! And if they don’t have enough employees to assemble...

Re: Para 3 Action Inconsistency?

If you search my posts I've done a lot of tinkering with compression locks. When the PM2 first came out it seemed like he side play was more of an issue (at least every one I've owned has had it). I still own one and to this day it just isn't as solid as my Yojimbo 2 or Sliverax pivots. I would eit...
