Re: Policy on replacing stripped screw heads?

The red Loctite is a not-so-subtle hint that those screws are not there for the user, they are there for the factory. That said, they sent me some new screws for my Para2 a few years ago when someone pointed out there was one missing in a picture I posted, just for asking them. I hadn't even notice...

Re: "Lil" Knives

Manix "3" would be my first choice. I'm probably asking for too much since the Para 3 was just released. I can dream though!

Re: Keeping stones from clogging

I normally use a magic eraser for higher grit stones like the sharpmaker stones, but for lower grit stones I've noticed the same thing. It's a pain when trying to do heavy reprofiling.

100% agree with everything said. If you asked me to list everything that bothered me about driving, it would be a very similar list! The lack of turn signals really bothers me.

Re: Cracked FRCP. Factory Defect Sprint.

Well since it is a crack I would definitely get that taken care of. It's knifecenters job to sell knives, and if you're disappointed in a product they sold you they should have no problem swapping it for a better one. You shouldn't have to live with a faulty product because you don't want to bother ...

Re: Red loctite

I really don't know where I stand on this issue. I have some knives that I've never had to disassemble, but some I've had to. My Sage 5 had some pretty serious centering issues, and the action was extremely stiff. I was able to fix it myself, but only after I took it apart. Sending it in is also an ...

Re: Cracked FRCP. Factory Defect Sprint.

It's hard for me to tell in the pictures if it's really a crack. It almost looks like a imperfection in the FRCP to me. If it truly is a crack, I would send it in. Last time I checked the CTS xhp Manix was still available, so I'd want to send it in before they aren't available anymore. And if you bo...

Re: Military selects Sig 320

I heard somewhere that the military requested a modular pistol, so that would disqualify almost every pistol other than the P320 or the 250. Not sure if that was one of the requirements, but that's what I heard on the Internet somewhere! I have a Glock 19, and my friend has a 320. The 320 is a grea...

Re: 2017 Spyderco Catalog

Hope I get mine this year! I requested one the first day I was able to, but haven't gotten one. I requested a 2016 one 2 or 3 times, but never got one. I really wanted to have one for each year!

Re: One-Eyed Jack

I think it's an awesome looking little knife. My girlfriend is never really interested in the plain black G-10 or FRN knives, but she really liked this one in the picture she saw. It definitely stands out. So I guess the deciding factor will be price!

Cool idea! I'm not a huge fan of lock backs, but I'd be interested in the design. I thought you were going to suggest a Yojimbo balisong when I read the title!

Re: Why Don't Flippers Use a Compression Lock?

Brad Southard posted a video on instagram of a compression lock flipper that he made. So it's possible! I believe there's another custom maker who made a compression lock flipper, but it used a button to depress the compression lock through the handle.

Edit: It's the Smock knives SK23

Re: Sal, another run of the Swick?

I'd probably buy 2. I have the 4, and it's one of my favorite knives. I actually meant to buy a 2nd one, but I was too late! I think the reason they aren't that popular is because they were only available through Spydercos website. I think they would sell well through normal retailers.

Sage 2 or Sage 5! Got the 5 a couple months ago, and got the 2 yesterday. The two of them are probably my two favorite knives. Maybe they'd work for you, but maybe not! But that's why they make so many knives!

Mines been in my pocket every day for the past 2 months! I loved it so much that I bought a Sage 3, and I have a Sage 2 sitting at my house that I just got in the mail. I can't wait to go home and open it up!
Congrats on the Sage 5!

Re: Sage 5 Current/Former Owners; A Few Questions.

Mine has a perfect detent, but a sloppy detent basically means the detent ball doesn't fit properly in the detent hole on the blade. So the blade can move ever so slightly when closed. It doesn't really effect functionality.

Re: Sage 5 Current/Former Owners; A Few Questions.

I have one. I've had it since October, and it's been in my pocket every single day since I got it. It pretty much covers all my favorite things in a knife. It has my favorite lock, it's light, grippy, great ergonomics, looks great, has a deep carry wire clip, and a 3 inch blade, so it's legal about ...

Re: Manix 2 S30v pitting

I've never had a problem besides today! It's definitely my fault, but it's not too bad. It's barely noticeable now that I've cleaned it up, but still annoying. I still don't have any knives in H1, so maybe this can be my excuse to my girlfriend for buying another knife!

Manix 2 S30v pitting

Pulled my manix out of my pocket today and saw that one side of the blade was covered in rust! I rubbed off the surface rust and washed it in soap and water, but saw some black dots still on the blade. It turns out they're just little pits in the blade. I think I probably got a couple of drops of co...
