The split ring will rust out before the knife ever does.
Just saying.

Re: What Spyderco is in your pocket today??
I really wish the "new" knives had a beveled Spydie hole. The new knives have a sharper hole then factory edge!
Every time I carry an old friend I'm reminded of it.

Poll needs another option. Sell them all year long in the sale/closeout section.

Selling them in the sale/closeout section would be a great start.
Me, I want the handle or steel branded with a S for seconds. I've been burned buying "rare or retired" Spydies. Send it in for service an get told no.

Re: 2020 Seconds Sale - SOLD OUT!
While I'm glad those of us far from CO got the chance at a second. Well, "if" you where really lucky.
Sal, please list seconds on the sale section from time to time. Your site won't crash an they will sell without taxing your employees. An I might get a chance to buy one :)

Re: Tenacious C122GBOR in stock anywhere
Get the satin orange and a murdered out one and swap the scales. I did it I’m with a blue one years ago. Thanks! The scale swap it is. Just ordered both. Kid found the C122GBOR on fleabay last month. After it was sold he said, that's what I want for Christmas. Been looking since then. I really need...

Re: Ouch – my Spydy hole bit me!!!
You can disagree all day long, for me the sharp hole is a turn off. A beveled hole has more surface to catch an hold for opening. Having to use surgical glue or get stitches from a $300+ Spydie hole is not fun. The old ones had it done right. But that is my 2¢

Re: Ouch – my Spydy hole bit me!!!
This is my biggest and only complaint about Spyderco folders. Older Spydies have the beveled hole. You can open it with thick gloves, oily, wet or frozen hands on all day long , so a sharp edge hole is BS. Not finishing the hole is a cost saving measure. The worst hole cut was from my Tuff, I had to...

Re: Researching older Spyderco knives
Yes, boxes get mixed up. Like magazines for old bolt guns in gun shops. Dealers kept them behind the counter to prevent theft. A magazine is a magazine right? (NO!)
I use spydercosource for some older models.

Wife took my Catcherman (C17) and my Hunter (C03 the one I was looking for) to school for something. All the other teachers are impressed with Spyderco's edge. Looks like I'll have to lock everything up as a few are coming over for something this weekend. Wife still hasn't returned the knives

Re: Do "Collectors Club" knives tend to be worth more/more desirable?
If I need the knife, like an old 1st Gen C65, I'll take a new CC marked one anytime. The large part of the value of being a collector is having the opportunity to receive one of the first 200 production pieces (or 999 pieces).
