Re: Caly 3.5 or PM2?
I have a Caly 3.5 ZDP on my wish list, but my primary EDC is an S30V PM2. Since I have no experience (yet) with the Caly, I have to throw my hat into the PM2 ring. Your mileage may vary, and obviously there are some people who don't like it, but I really can't think of anything bad to say about it. ...

That's a beautiful piece of work! Give me a 4-way and/or deep carry pocket clip, and remove the back spacer, and I'll take one in every color!

Re: First Golden Spydie (PM2) - am I just being picky?
I feel like I've had the total opposite experiences with USA production vs *other* than most people in this thread... My Golden knives are far and away better than my Japanese or Italians, and I've had to return all but two Taiwanese knives I've purchased. It has almost turned me into a Golden-only ...

Re: PM2 for EDC and Survival?
Sorry, my typo! I had a brain fart and confused my gray/cruwear Millie and my green/elmax PM2. Although I do agree, I'd certainly add a cruwear PM to my collection :cool:bearfacedkiller wrote:When is that cruwear para2 coming out? :D

Re: PM2 for EDC and Survival?
I own a bunch of Spydies, and other brands, and I try to rotate my EDC choice whenever I think about it. The "problem" is, I don't often think about it... I always gravitate back to my PM2. For me, the ergos are perfect. I love the lock, opening and closing is smooth as glass, the 4 way cl...

Check out http://www.halperntitanium.com for handle scales. Very high quality, fairly inexpensive, and looks better (IMHO) than paracord wrappingmb1 wrote:The Swick 4 will be my first Swick and my first synthetic sheath experience. Looking fwd to trying both.

Re: What are the "hard-use" spyderco FOLDERS?
+1 for Cliff's outstanding post... he was able to group most of us into a fairly predictable nutshell lol. I inspect the edge on my EDC PM2 at least twice a day, and have a mini panic attack if it should show the smallest blemish on the mirror polished edge. That said, I have done some pretty unspea...

Re: Sheath retention/neck carry...
The eBay kydex sheath for my Swick3, as well as the factory SheathPro kydex sheath that came with my Swick4, are both very sturdy and tight fitting. The only thing that would sway me away from neck carrying would be the amount of force it actually takes to remove the knife... almost like a reverse c...

Re: Carrying multiple Spydercos?
On any given day you'll find a Ladybug and Leatherman Squirt on my keys, a Dragonfly somewhere within arms reach, a Millie or PM2 in my right front pocket, and a Swick on the inside breast pocket of my jacket. If I'm spending an inordinate amount of time outdoors, camping or such, you can add a Serr...

My first is also my most valuable... Black/black plain edge Embassy auto. It was my EDC for over a year before I got my second, which was a stainless D-Fly2. Now I'm hooked, and my EDC is usually a PM2

Re: Poll: Which one offers more bang for the buck?
+1 for the K-2, I don't even think that is questionable. I know I am about to start another long debate about which steel is "best", but comparing CTS-XHP vs S30V vs 10V, I don't think I'll get a whole lot of argument in saying 10V is the better of that crop. Additionally, the K-2 is the l...

Re: Got a counterfeit Dragonfly Salt 2 for my birthday.
I can see how counterfeit returned items could be an issue here and there, but in this particular instance, there are MULTIPLE people who have been duped by this sale. The OP got a bum knife, and so did I, along with several other commenters (on the amazon page). Clearly Amazon got a batch of fakes ...

Re: Got a counterfeit Dragonfly Salt 2 for my birthday.
I bought the SAME EXACT knife from a Amazon, and mine is shady too. It also arrived super loose, and once I tightened it up, now the blade doesn't close all the way. I am still pretty upset by the whole ordeal.

Re: FB14P4 – Swick 4 Leaf with Sheath
To clarify, I ordered 2 ;-) I'm actually glad I don't live near the SFO, I would be in financial ruin! Fortunately (or unfortunately?) for me, I don't live anywhere near a cutlery store that carries a good range of Spyderco (or any other decent brand), so the only damage I can do to my bank account ...
