I know on gun magazines what wears the springs out is compressing and releasing then compressing again . Leaving the magazines fully loaded with springs compressed will last many many years .
Not sure if it applies to knifes or not .

Dlc paramilitary 2. I recently switched the black clip to stainless and like it a LOT better. The black clip scuffs way too easy and looks like crap in my opinion. Going fishing with the chaparral 1 and the southfork Cool ! The clip screws are a T7. Swapping to tip up was one of the very first things I did (I prefer tip up and wish I could make my CruWear Millie tip up). I ended up picking up T6, T8 and T10 . The T6 fit but had a tiny bit of play didnt even think of a T6 . Fortunately the clip screws weren't even tigh...
