I got one about 6 weeks ago. Sweet knife, but I hate the wire clip. It bent completely out of shape the second day I carried it clipped to my pocket, and I can't figure out what could have happened. Aside from the not-strong-enough-for-me clip, a nice knife. It's in Golden CO now, getting fixed ...

I bought a new MeerKat about 3 weeks ago - love it. It's stayed clipped in my left front pocket for most of each day. I also carry my couple-years-old Delica clipped to the other pocket.



About 5 minutes ago, I pulled out the MeerKat, and noticed that the wire clip is now bent at least 1/4" away ...

I unloaded my Salsa for the same reason - it would open while leaving my pocket, and I couldn't get used to the lock.

I also vote for the Native III - my EDC for several months.

Does anyone know where I might find a picture of a comparison between a demonstration of a Surefire E1 (which I recently bought) and an E2? The E1 seems plenty bright enough, but if the E2 has 4x the lumens, it must be rather impressive, to say the least...

These are tip-down carry, right? I've never held one, but judging from the picture I found, tip-down appears to be the configuration...

Speaking of Calypso Jr.'s, any news on when that rumored limited run of Grey handled PEs will happen?

Depending on where I'm headed, I occasionally carry two Delicas, one on each side(one SE, one PE). The SE has almost never been used; the PE is EDC. I find myself not going to such places so much anymore, as I get older - which is hopefully a sign of wisdom kicking in...<img src="smile.gif" width=15 ...

I've sent knives to Spyderco before for repair, but for some reason, I can't find the shipping address information (is it on the Spyderco site somewhere? Can't seem to find it..?).



Anyone have it handy?

I've had a 3D PE Native for about 3 months, and I love the handle. Mine does seem to be harder to open than my Delicas, Endura, or Standard, but not enough to be a problem. The added thickness in the handle is worth it.

It seems to me you might want to consider that the Endura and the Police are lockbacks, whereas the Military is a liner lock. For some, that doesn't matter...but to me, it would make the whole difference (I'm a lockback fan).

You might also want to consider that the the Endura (FRN, anyway) weighs ...

In my case, I discovered bladeforums while surfing around, and after lurking there for a couple months, I bought a Delica (this was about a year and a half ago). The hook was sunk immediately <img src="wink.gif" width=15 height=15 align=middle border=0>. Now, 8 Spydies later...

pvr4: That's exactly the reason why I traded my Salsa away. It was a nice knife, but I could never warm up to that lock (I only trust lockbacks for folders).

...or, a larger version of the existing Native III would be equally great!...

The last post is basically what I was thinking - there's no need to completely redo the Endura. If a 3D handle could be put on the Endura as an alternate Endura model, that would be great!

I always liked the James Mattis explanation, because it's right on target. Only problem is, it's too long - it sounds like making excuses, rather than being a brief, obvious (duh!) response.
