Re: The Double Bevel

The one instance I held had a very even edge grind along the whole length of the blade, even at the transition point between grinds. I have been try to wrap my head around how to sharpen the tanto point... A trick that I use, (as silly as it may be) is to wrap the whole blade in tape EXCEPT the tan...

Re: Show those Edges !!!!!

Ask and you shall receive. I do all my edges by hand, with 0 guides. I start off with coarse diamond and work my way up to a 10K Silicone Carbide stone. Finishing passes are done on the Spyderco Ultra Fine Benchstone. Where did you find a 10k SiC stone? The company I work for brought them in. It wo...

Re: My first Native!

Thanks for the love folks.

I recently moved back into my old place with my folks, and I have a bunch of cardboard that needs cuttin'! That will be a fine test to see how well the edge will hold up.

Re: My first Native!

Congrats! I got my forum native last week and I've been carrying it everyday since! I love it! Can I ask what sharpening stones you used? Most certainly :) To start, I like to use coarse diamonds all the way to fine then extra fine. Once the factory edge scaring is gone, i switch to a 1000/6000 gri...

Re: Which cruwear is your favorite?

Ive had a Cruwear Manix twice, and sold it twice. I love the Manix design, but I found it to be quite heavy for an EDC. Since holding the S110v lightweight, ill be picking that as my Manix. However, to answer your question. I pick Mili :) Prior to this Military, I had never owned one and figured it ...

Re: SpyderPac - not completely impressed

I guess it just depends on the quality of wood! My Spyderpac survived a house fire that happened to me about a month back. Drop ceiling tiles and support beams fell on it and it's still kickin' it! Smells like smoke but it did what it's intended to do! Protected all my knives! Not a scratch on them!...
