Re: On Short Deep Carry Clips
As a long time Lynch clip customer and user I can vouch for Casey's incredible customer service and quality of his clips. To date, I have many more Lynch clips than anything else. That said, I purchased a MXG clip for a Para 3 when Lynch clips we unobtainable for a period of time. I have come to pre...

Re: Pros & cons of Cruwear?
I never understood why Spyderco decided to use Maxamet and not CPM-Cruwear in regular production. Cruwear is a superb steel with almost perfect balance of properties. It sharpens like a dream, very good toughness and edge stability, more than decent corrosion resistance. My all time favorite. +1 Co...

Re: Cutlery Shoppe Para 3 exclusives
I really like the DLC and orange look but don't care for the uncoated liners. I know the reason for not coating the liners on the DLC version is it has a negative effect on the lock up or action of the knife. However, why can't they polish the locking tab and where the washers sit, after coating? An...

Re: Cru-Wear for a standard production model
Agreed, i would love to see Cruwear as an option for all Golden Made models. Both the G10 and lightweight variants of them as well. And if they can indeed make Japanese models in Cruwear as one poster said, some of those would be great. I would love it in a Dragonfly 2! I can't get enough DF2 varia...

Re: Clip Preference
Option "D". I prefer deep carry hourglass style clips. Since Spyderco doesn't offer this as a factory option I'm force to look to aftermarket replacements. Casey Lynch short deep carry clips are excellent and what 90% of my carry knives sport. I just wish Spyderco would produce a factory o...

Re: Spyderco fixed blade for hunting
Of all the Spydercos I've used in a hunting knife role my favorite is the Spyderco FB01 Bill Moran - Bowie style blade. Typically a knife without finger guard would be a nonstarter for a hunting knife but the design of the Moran's handle locks your hand in very secure. If I had to choose from your ...

Re: More Cruwear?
Cruwear has the perfect balance of stain resistance, edge retention, ease of sharpening, and toughness for my uses. For a long time CPM M4 had been my favorite steel until my first opportunity to extensively use Cruwear (PM2). While not totally stainless, Cruwear in my experience has been much more ...

Re: Para 3 Defect?
I see potential issues regardless of which side of the notch the lockbar rests when in the fully open position. If above; the notch could cause a false locked open position if opened slowly, where the lockbar catches the edge of the notch rather than sliding fully up the lockbar ramp. IMO this is st...

I've owned knives in all of the above steels and Cruwear is hands down my favorite. I wish Spyderco would make it their new standard in place of S30V for all models.

Re: paramilitary 3
The Para 3 is THE knife I've been waiting for. I was very much involved in nagging for its creation, despite all the naysayers whom said it would just be another PM1. In the videos above it appears the edges of the G10 have been rounded off more than current production PM2s have, which is also a cha...
