Military questions

Hey guys, I picked up a Collector Club Military off eBay - I'm pretty sure it's the real deal being a numbered CC blade :) I added a screen shot from the auction site - if the seller is a member here Thank you Sir! Saved me at least $30 :) Anyway I'd like to know if its possible to find black scale ...

Re: question regarding factory seconds??

Now I'm really glad I never jumped on a second - I'd be sick to know I paid over double :(
Maybe one day I can visit CO - 25 2nds would last me a few lifetimes :)
Thanks for the info guy's ;)

Re: question regarding factory seconds??

Around $60 - $90 sounds about right to me too. I see military 2nd's going for around $115 average but just can't ever pull the trigger being that for a few bucks more I could pick a first up. The basic reason I consider 2nds in the first place is to have a real user that won't hurt the wallet & ...

question regarding factory seconds??

Hey guy's, from time to time people pop up selling the factory 2nds. I know they are not perfect (sometimes blimished in an imperceptible way) & sold at a lesser cost with no warranties with a nick on the blade around the spider- hole to differentiate them from firsts. My question is what do you...

Re: Military with a Compression Lock - wishful thinking :)

Good stuff :) Thanks for the link, I had missed that lock. I'd be very interested in a new gen Military in either configuration ( not that there's anything wrong with the current production). I love how Spyderco is willing to improve their products. Going to have to go digging through the old posts ...

And not just misinformed people saying they're Sprints but actually produced knives? Particularly Sprint Runs with "exotic steels". I've found that eBay is a very effective way of finding Sprints you've missed out and I just wanted to know if there was any cause for concern. My Delica SB ...

I've found so many posts here, on other forums & of course YouTube with the same question regarding these models - Did I purchase a fake??? Having to ask this question in the first place makes it fairly evident that you may have purchased one of these knives from a less than reliable source. It ...

I just got into this a couple weeks ago, but now that I've taken in enough info to form IMO a decent idea of how to differentiate a real Spyderco product from a counterfeit (Mostly pm2's) but some carry over to other models. I've noticed A lot more selling them on ebay as the real deal to unsuspecti...

My 2013 Native forum knife has the v shape bug logo mouth, bought it directly from Spyderco. Some of the other makers may have a different bug. The v shape of the mouth is (at least for now) an indication of authenticity. The slight misprint on the China copy's (looks like an o for a mouth) is a de...

my thoughts

Very interesting. Your PM2 looks identical to mine, which was purchased very recently from a retailer who told me it was from a brand new (early March 2014) shipment from Spyderco. Front side - Back side - Compression lock Curiously, it also had the same rough, gritty opening action as yours too. I...
