I got my advocate in December. I carry it all the time. No issues.

Re: Name a great allaround-do-it-all Spyderco folder
I think a s110v manix lw is pretty well rounded. Super stainless, light and pretty cheap. A s110v frn dragonfly would be super sweet if blade length was an issue.

Re: Gayle Bradley Advocate First Impressions?
I have had my advocate since before Christmas. I use and flip the crap out of it. I have not adjusted the pivot. I have a feeling it will run forever if the pivot is not overtightened. I would send it in for a PB washers conversion but I am not sure it needed.

Re: H1 Spyderhawks
I would be in for any new frn wharnie or hawk in H1, vg10 or 200n.
Now a stretch wharnie or hawk in orange... that would be perfect.
I love my wharnie delica and I ended up buying 4 for gifts but the length and grip of the stretch is ideal.

Re: CS Exclusive Orange/Black Zome HAP40
Hap40 is a great idea but my delica and stretch look like crap because the sandwich steel is ridiculously soft and scratches if you look at it wrong. I don't even get crazy cutting abrasive materials. Give me vg10 any day when Japanese steels are the only option. My delica also had a rust spot when ...

Re: Why do some denigrate VG10 steel?
S110v is as suitable for marine use as VG-10. I carry my s110v manix in the ocean and on rivers a dozen or more times a year ever since it came out. I rinse it with clean water and shoot it with wd40 when the trip is over. I find vg10 easier to get crazy sharp but I can maintain s110v with a strop p...

Re: Let's talk deep-carry pocket clips for Native 5 & PM2...
Casey lynch is good people. I have 4 short and 8 long clips plus a set of aluminum and a set of TI scales he made for PM2s. Every time I have dealt with him his has been awesome and his products have been flawless.

I will be checking GP Knives hourly. I live 30 minutes away and prefer to buy local. This is very exciting. I have already recieved my casey lynch long deep carry clip. This bad boy is going to get a 30 day exclusive in my pocket. I will also be buying two as gifts.

I have carried a delica around the world but if laws were no issue I would carry a vg10 stretch.

Re: Hap40 Wharncliffe Delica
Hap 40 may have much more wear resistance but it is more prone to rust. I have a hap 40 delica that had two small pits near the tip as soon as I took it out of the package. I used flitz and scrubbed the **** out of the spot and now they are very tiny. It doesnt bother me but it does remind me that v...
