Re: Any new spydies w/ Compression locks?

My current favorite knife is the YO2. It probably gets at least 75% of my pocket time, impressive as I have a decent sized collection to choose from. Part of the attraction is the compression lock. I love the lock and, maybe I'm just lucky, but I have never pinched myself with it. I also have 3 PM2s...

Re: FRN Chaparral

I'd love an FRN or FRCP Chaparral, especially if they followed the lead of the Manix 2 LW and include a premium steel like S110V. I'd buy one the second that they became available - perhaps 2, to send one to #2 Son. Edit: BTW, I have no issue with pinned knives (well, those made by Spyderco). I star...

One of the knives that I placed on my "wish list" for this year. Your review clinched it. Thanks. This is now a must-buy. :)

I love this platform, I agree with you wholeheartedly about the special place it holds in both the hearts of its fans and its makers. Cheers, Radioactive :)
Man, that one with the ironwood scales is absolutely gorgeous!

Re: Unashamedly positive post about my new Native 5 G10

Great knife. Congrats. :)

I've got 5 so far and still want to add the Fluted Ti version. Pic here needs to be updated to include my non-forum S110V peel-ply CF Native. And, sorry guys, the G10 in the pic was purchased some time ago... :(

Got it in today. Very nice. The blade reminds me of a Stretch a little bit which is a good thing, IMO. Heavier than I expected, but feels great in-hand.

You're right. I got mine late last week. Immediately ordered myself a Gayle Bradley folder and put 4 more on my to-buy list. It is very effective. :D

Re: This Place Needs......

^ excellent collection there Saintly! I don't think they are Seki, but have any Caly's, or Mules to go along?.. Unfortunately, no. But I will try to find an SB Caly or 2 at a later date. My first priority was to get a complete matching set of these. While I don't keep many knives in my safe, this s...

Re: Paramilitary 2 v Yojimbo 2 - which would you choose?

I love the YO2 and am not particularly fond of the PM2 (sacrilege, I know). I've got 3 PM2s and rarely carry them. Why? Well, honestly, I'm not really sure. It just doesn't appeal to me and I don't care for it as a daily user. That said, chalk that opinion up to simple personal preference and not mu...

Ah. The Wife has her own smaller collection of knives (~30) so she doesn't complain much about me buying knives. But...many of her knives come from my collection.

"Oooooh. I like that one" is often followed by that knife disappearing and reappearing in her knife box. Sigh.

When I carry a Native, it is usually my KC exclusive XHP Native. It has trouble competing for pocket time against my Manix, but it is a great knife nonetheless. My Natives: http://i.imgur.com/YGAT1F0.jpg?1 I really like the Native, but it is just a tad small for my hands. I use smallish lanyards to ...

I have alluded to this in other threads, but, it is really something to ponder how the average guy will now be able to buy a world class steel in a pocket knife for ~$110 that just a few years ago would have required long waits and high costs going through a custom maker, if getting it at all. Kudo...
