Thanks for the answer Simple Man. I think I'll refrain from forcefully press fitting any pins. :) The lock up on this CF Mili is perfect anyway. Sometime when I get a moment, I'll have to see if the pivot interchanges with my old ATS-34 Mili.

This evening I was going through my knife parts. I found an eccentric pivot that I think belonged to a Lil Temp that I had long ago. Did Spyderco use the same eccentric pivot for the Military and the Lil Temp? Could an eccentric pivot be dropped into a new CF BG42 Mili?

I know that the Lil Temp, and Para Military have it.

Is it a fixed blade or a folder? If it is a fixed blade, then Justin at Ranger Knives can probably help you out. He makes customs for people from their drawings all the time.

I'll say Waved E4 and Native, just because the only thing better than 1 Spyderco is 2 Spydercos. Seriously though, the E4 Wave is by far one of my favorite knives ever. It is such a great combo of price, lightweight, durability, novelty, and performance. It is just a great knife.

I have Lil Temp 030. I never even thought it might be worth a little more. I have too much fun using it! :)

Lil Temp and Military both feel great in the hand. I am not sure if my Yojimbo fits my hand or if my hand has learned to fit it, but I find it very comfortable to use as well.

It looks like the blade and clip have been bead blasted as well. That is a slick looking mod.

I have a small magnetic tray that I use for just this reason! I got mine at Harbor Freight.

mikebandw186 - is the other item in the kit a back spacer?

I like a mirror polish or near mirror polish. Coatings and other finishes, like bead blasting hinder the cut. I also find that mirror polished blades seem to be more resistant to rust.

I will also be 35% harder to sharpen. :)

The Military has worked with everyone's hand I have ever put it in, regardless of size! It's a classic.

Well I got my Lil Temps. I can now see clearly what the hype is about! I am such a sucker for the flat ground Spydies. I love how the handle slabs hide the grind line. I have 2 Lil Temps on the way (S30V and CPM440V). I can't wait to see what all the hype is about.

When my wife and I were married, she decided she needed her own firearm. After trying a ton of them she settled on the SP101. She loves that gun.
