Re: Trip to the mothership

My problem with going to SFO is I'd always wish to go on a day that just happened to have everyone from the company that I'd want to meet like Sal and Eric and Kristi and Michael Janich but I know they're not all just hanging out there all the time lol. I really need to make it to Blade Show one ...

Re: Trip to the mothership

Man you got some way cool stickers also. I sort of wondered if it was the punch slug of our thumbhole, then I thought; no it ain't that lol...

We use to use punch slugs in a special tumbler we made to tumble torched small parts in to clean the mill slag off. They did a pretty good job, but not ...

Re: Trip to the mothership

Yep, as others have stated, the Spyder hole is the blank that is removed to form the hole in the blade. Technically just scrap material but still cool that you can only get them at the store. I've got family in CO still so I'm there at least a couple of times per year but I never seem to be able to ...

Trip to the mothership

Managed to return to the factory store last week. It had been years considering I used to work just a little ways from there and now live in MA (thoughts and prayers appreciated...). Anywho, we spoke with a few different people while browsing around and enjoyed to interaction with everyone. I ended ...

Re: SNK Manix 2 LW is coming!!!

Not trying to argue or restart the debate about if blade centering matters. If anyone has tips on how to adjust the centering on a Manix 2 Lightweight with screwed construction, I would appreciate it.
Thanks,
Bruce

I'm not sure how applicable this would be to the Manix 2 Lightweight, but here ...

Re: Seconds sale 2022

I got super lucky and just stumbled on a FB post about the sale. Jumped on to see what the ruckus was all about and after tons of refreshing and time outs I managed to snag a Manix 2. Since I've never participated in one of these, any idea on how long it takes to ship out? I imagine they are buried ...

Re: Tenacious durability?

I have the full serrated version. I, too, beat on it but I don't know if it's fair to categorize it as a beater knife. I think it's a real high quality knife in that price range. It was my first Spydie so maybe I'm partial :D

I have cut everything with it and it just keeps looking for more. I'm ...

Re: Who has been to MECCA (the Spyderco Showroom)?

I used to work just a few miles up the road from the factory. Spent many a lunch hour up there browsing and talking with the staff. Ran into Mrs. Glesser once and my friend and I spent an hour talking with her. It was great! Alas, I now live in New Hampshire...although I love the state (hate the ...

I know! Actually that's a sig-ness that I can't act on too often but may have to visit there from time to time. We actually lived in central MA around Gardner up until seven years ago so we are trying to head back to the general area to be near family (but maybe not too near ;) )

I did bring my ...

Yes, that is true actually. There's just something more satisfying about buying a brand new knife right from the source. I'll have to get familiar with the best places to shop from now on. Any suggestions would be appreciated.

So long, Spyderco outlet store...

So my family and I are moving from Colorado back to New England soon (I'm leaving next week). Long story but family issues are prompting us to go back and help out. I just discovered the Spyderco outlet store a little while ago and now I have to leave it :( ...I can say that I've been bitten for ...

Ambitious, Ladybug SB and Honey Bee today. Ladybug is new and scary sharp. Opened a letter over the weekend and cut a 4 page document to ribbons in the process!
