Re: Knife Knuts, Steel Junkies, and Mule... POLL! Please VOTE!
Don't like any of them. Should be short and catchy. Like MULE KNUT OR MULE JUNKY OR MULE HEAD. The last is a take off of Becker Head which is a name proudly used by those on the Becker Knife & Tool forum. Just my two cents. "I am a __________". Fill in the blank. How do you feel about ...

Re: Check my math for mule demand.
Sal, I am in Gunnison, Colorado. Lived in Lakewood before I retired and have visited the store several times. Have two of every mule (a user with a handle and a naked collector) and about 30 other spydercos. I am in my 80s and have hundreds of other knives. The only knives I buy now are mules and oc...

Re: Check my math for mule demand.
Sal, Appreciate your reply. You are correct, I am trying to make sure that I will be able to get the Mule Team pieces. A nexmule offering will require both Spyderco and buyers to give something. Specifically, Spyderco will have to alter its current mule team sales process and nexmule buyers will hav...

Re: Check my math for mule demand.
Sal, Went to dinner came back finished and posted my response before I read your post which described your current strategy. I understand your current strategy but would you also consider the process suggested in my previous post. It would be simple for you and satisfy the many customers request for...

Re: Check my math for mule demand.
Toker said "Any list would be a nightmare to manage". Sal said that is one reason for not offering a "mule buying club". But maybe it could be simplified if both Spyderco and buyers can give a little. Here is how. Spyderco creates a new product in their store called the NEXT MULE...

The poll is a sample. If it is an good sample than over 50% of the buyers will want two mules. We will see.

Re: MT32P - SRS13/SUS405 Mule Team - Release Date
Taz & Sal, It was a bad business decision to announce a change in the terms of sale two and a half days before the announced launch. In a poll on this forum over 50% of those responding said they would buy two mules. Many of them will find out about the change when they try to buy a mule on Thur...

Re: MT01 story, ends in tragedy.
Condolences! The small screw holes on the MT1 is a known problem. I have two MT1s. One with scales and one without. Wanted to be able to take the scales on and off so I bought Halpern scales. Tried to widen the hole with a regular HHS drill bit and took more off the bit than the hole. So I bought th...

Re: Mule Team quantity discussion
Sal, Please keep the limit at 2. Don't want to chase the second one at a high price from a flipper. Again there a few of us that really want all the mules. We are highly motivated and I for one would be willing to make a large non-refundable deposit for the next mule regardless of steel or price or ...

Re: Thinking about a Mule in PD#1
Mule Teamâ„¢ 27 Micro-Melt PD#1 is made using Carpenter's Micro-Melt, powdered metal technology. Crucible names their technology CPM (Crucible Powdered Metal). They are both powdered metal technologies just different names by different companies. To quote Spyderco's catalog description: "Thanks t...

Re: Mule Team quantity discussion
Sal, I just reread this thread and the one thing many customers want is a way to make sure they get the next mule. They either want mule club or a pre-order. You want to keep ordering reasonably manageable. The following system should do both. 1 Keep the current system. 2 Create a Spyderco Mule Supp...

Re: Mule Team quantity discussion
Sal, Another thought. Why not start a "Mule Club" where members would get 1 or 2 of all new mules. This would require an on file credit card and a requirement to take and pay for all mules currently announced. The contract would state the card would be charged after a date you set in the a...

Re: Mule Team quantity discussion
Here is my humble input. 1 Please keep it at 2. I could work around this by getting others to buy some for me but since the might be unreliable, I might end up with 3. 2 Reissue would be nice for those who missed out like #29 but you still have the same problems as with the original issue. How many ...

1) Did you purchase a Mule Team knife in the past? Yes - I have 2 of each (52). One is a Collector and the other is a User. Gave a couple away. 2) Did you put a handle on it? Yes - Halpern handles on the 26 Users. 3) Did you make or buy a sheath? Yes - Bought about 6. Some hard and some leather. Som...

YES!!!! BRING BACK THE MULE
Maybe just 1 every year or two in cutting edge steel.
First, we must do our part & buy up the existing stock overhang.
BUY A MULE TODAY!!!!
Enjoy,

Re: Mulling over the Mule
NO! Any change would impair the steel comparison with the 26 existing mules. I am not interested in starting over and I don't think Sal is interested in repeating the steels used in the existing mules. But, YES, if a continuation of the current fixed blade mule format. I would buy 2 of any produced....

Re: Mule Team
Just checked. The only mule in stock is Mule Team #27 (Micro-Melt PD#1). #20, #22 & #26 also show up when you search for "mule". But they show "out of stock" when you bring them up. Sal, make #28 and I will buy 2. Would anyone else buy a new mule team? MAKE MORE MULES! Bill M...
