Not many people carry these.
Still one of my all time favorites.
I bought a second one as a user because I didn't want to damage my first mint Kris :p
It does see carry somewhat often now though :)
Great piece!

Re: Roadie vs Pingo

I wanted to get one for my girlfriend, but I'll probably end up settling for the pink Squeak.
It'd be a perfect gift for most women who aren't already into knives/up for a bigger blade if they would make it in pastel colors of something!

Re: Leather Spyderco Journal

Nicely done!
I tried something somewhat similar on a leather strap, but failed...
Great job on these ones though!

Too late to be in for a random drawing I'm afraid? :p

A couple of forums have come and gone for me, but I can't imagine my daily routine without the Spyderco forum :)
Great discussions, friendly people, amazing pictures, and the best moderators around! :D

Re: Anyone get their heartbeat decal yet

I wish!
I collect the stickers from meets and the different variations of round decals.
(as if I needed yet another Spyderco item to collect besides knives, boxes, stones, catalogs, calendars, pins, etc. :p)
The heartbeat one has got to be my favorite thus far and I would really like this on a shirt!

What’s your favorite scales for the Urban? (All scales are homemade) I like the G10 the most. 0AF1C883-AC82-442A-9B9F-B70E29C3C41D.jpeg I like the wooden ones; reminds me of scales I made for my Squeak some years ago: http://i914.photobucket.com/albums/ac342/H34DSHO7S/DSC_0069_zpsqlia0ism.jpg

Re: Frankenstein titanium UKPK?

Hi Ark and welcome :)

I believe the G10, CF and Ti versions have the same springs, so perhaps those could work; but from what I've gathered, there were more differences between the different versions (especially the FRN ones because of CQI on the springs ).

Re: Yet another Counterfeit eBay seller

One thing more, the mamba is spectacular. I bought five different knives from this seller just for fun, to see what was up. If I was selling fakes this good I'd list them as Spyderco and sell them at a resonate price. Just as illegal but make some real money. Besides coming in real boxes, some come...

I've actually ordered a book on beginner whittling projects yesterday coincidentally :p Might be in the market for one if I have some affinity for whittling.

Re: Largest Spyderco you're comfortable with?

Manix 2 XL's see some carry, other than that there's a Mili or Police in the pocket quite often. The Mamba is another larger one, but I do carry it sometimes. Mostly keep it at home because I wanna keep it in good shape.

Re: Spyderco Photo of the Week Contest!

Well guys and gals, the wait is over! After keeping a close eye on the thread throughout the week, I've made up my mind: I've been going back and forth between the following two images... For this week's picture haul, I've gotta go with Mushroom as the runner up (with a very appropriate scene :p )....

Re: Smallest spyderco you are comfortable with?

I'd say the Kiwi; I've carried smaller as a backup, but the Kiwi is the minimum I'd carry on days when I've only got a single blade on me. (besides the ones on my keys or a SAK/Leatherman) I carry bigger knives like the Mamba, Vallotton, Military, etc. on most days, but it's not like working in an o...

I've only got one thus far, but I enjoy carrying it as a backup and it doesn't scare off non-knife people.

Re: Pic Request!

I kept a single Benchmade; other ones have come and gone quickly after receiving them. The 940 was one of the popular designs I've tried amongst others like the Griptilian and Barrage. They just don't hit the sweet spot Spyderco does in my case. But to each their own I suppose :) And for those wonde...

Why's your edge partly green?
Mirror polished edge reflecting shrubbery/trees or his shirt in the background I'd say.

Good job on keeping that finish after cutting a load of cardboard by the way!
