I'm always a second too late, and a penny too little, haha. Thanks guys. I wonder how long S110V can hold its edge, and how hard Spyderco hardens the blade to..?

dragging this one out. Thanks for the link to AG's folding kitchen knife 2. I used to own the folding hocho - it was great, far greater than any kitchen knife folder, including KW's ryback (too thick for real kitchen work and the the choil reduced the working edge by 25%). I do agree about practical...

dislike brown. hope they change it to a different neutral colour like grey (my personal fav) or foliage green.

that being said, I'd like one in PE and SE.

I wished it were a framelock, even if it's made in Taiwan.

No offense really, I guess I just felt neglected. Hard to say what influences the prices for sure though. One thing I can say, I love the price for what you're getting in return. The CF Sage is up there in my top 3 all-time favs from Spyderco. I missed out on these, just found this threa...

I like the Sage 2, but mine is not "silent" and buttery smooth - there's an audible rubbing sound against the phosphor bronze washers. Not exactly the same as a Sebbie (since a lot of guys make that comparison to a Sebbie).

I find hollow grinds easier to re-sharpen and there's less of a need to reprofile the edge for a long time. FFG when constantly resharpened will gradually have a rather thick edge bevel.

thanks Clockwork / Whynot. I'm gonna check out hamonoichiba. do they respond to emails or must I just use the online sales ordering system? appreciate the tip about the ebay search thing - I didn't know that. will try that out. yes, I'm aware Spyderco forums is not a exchange/sale/trade forums. my p...

spyderco meerkat

can someone help me with my search for a LNIB Spyderco Meerkat with the reverse s-shape PE blade?

where can I find one? I know there aren't any on ebay right now :(

I've only just discovered this beauty and it really fits my purposes....

the CF on the Caly 3 ZDP is great. Not really grippy like blasted CF, but much much nicer than on the Millie, which looks more like G10. Sadly, I still feel that it was a wrong move to have a laminated blade on such a nice folder. Spyderco should've gone full ZDP stock ie. picked the same factory th...

Thanx for the comments. Appreciate. We've been watching the thread. We did speak with the maker about the problems and they assure us that the balance of the run will be watched more closely. sal thanks Sal. it's to do with the pivot pins IMO cos that's the way I fixed mine. It's a great cutter but...

sorry, but I feel the blade wobble in the closed position is not definitive of Spyderco blades. I'm a big Spyderco fan and have had 20 of them pass through my hands one time or another (half of them FRN ones and they don't have blade wobble in the close position - I have also had 2 of the Grey Calys...

I still have had no response from Spyderco (Kristi/Joyce) after several weeks now. That's wierd as Spyderco is always very responsive. In the meantime, I've had no choice but to fix it myself as I didn't want to spend more money on shipping...I tapped the pivot pins after removing the clip. It's not...

great pics. I hope Sal will change the steel in the Caly 3 to full ZDP, and not the laminated ZDP. There's a difference.

Any pics of the ZDP Endura or ZDP Lum chinese?

there's no reason for wobble, and it shouldn't be acceptable. my grey Caly had zero wobble, and although off centered (warped) blade, wasn't that bad. My burgundy Caly was centered, zero wobble. So there's no reason for this wobble. I mean it's not a small play...it's moving a lot....would you accep...

mine wobbles too. it's solid when locked but I can also see a gap between the two handles and the lockbar as well (light shines through)....I'm going to send my back to the dealer. I think the handles are not being pinned properly by both the pins. although it's ok (but still a gap between the FRN s...
