Just got mine from the mailbox. The blade is a tad off center, but the grinds are even and the action is super smooth and free dropping blade. I like it, a lot!
I asked Eric about this at the Oregon Knife Show. Judging by his reaction(launched a wadded up piece of paper at me,lol), I'd say they are still having difficulties getting the longer blades right.
Mine needed no modifications to prevent blade pokes. It was perfect out of the box. We need this in a sprint....how about a version that's a flipper with titanium scales and integral compression lock, waved and with a full SE hawkbill? Must have bearing pivot and wire clip kthnx.
You might be in luck. That sounds exactly like a knife that I saw on the prototype table.
