Re: Sal - YOU are not listening to us

I’m disappointed that this thread made it to 8 pages. Shoot, I’m disappointed that it made it off page one.

Re: Blade Length to Weight Ratios

I pay zero attention to stuff like this. An ounce of weight is unnoticeable to me so I just carry whatever works best for me or whatever I like better. I don’t really notice the weight of a knife unless it has metal scales.

Re: About that cardboard cutting...

Even after burning my cardboard I still produce more recyclables than I do trash. I have a very large compost pile so that reduces a lot of my trash as well. I do my very best to send as little to the landfill as possible. My state has only one landfill left in operation and it is definitely running...

It can handle 30 inclusive from my experience. I haven’t gone lower with S110V.

Re: Textbook HISTORY: How Accurate Is It?

They should teach about Robert Smalls in school. Honestly, they should make a movie about this man and I have heard that one is in the works. Again, the biggest crime in history isn’t skewing facts but rather the omission of certain facts and stories. This one is worth hearing. Why did I have to stu...

Re: About that cardboard cutting...

I have never needed to cut up my cardboard nor have I ever understood the knife communities obsession with it. Our recycling dumpster can accept big pieces. I have a wood furnace for heat so for six months of the year it all goes in there. In the summer we have a fire in the backyard most weekends a...

Re: Flat Earthers: Growing In Numbers

We have circumnavigated the globe in both planes and ships and we have taken pictures of the earth from space.

I think flat earthers are a very small group of people that get way too much attention. Has anybody actually known a flat earther? I have never met one.

Re: Textbook HISTORY: How Accurate Is It?

Nothing human is free from bias, including history. Sticking with just the facts doesn’t remove bias. Factual data can be framed in a way that has bias through selection or omission of certain data. You could argue that the guillotine cures dandruff because 100% of people who faced the guillotine no...

The Cowboys look like they should have an easy win but I cannot accept the Pats starting a season 0-4 at home. They are gonna have to leave it all on the field today! Go Pats!!!

Re: N.F.L. 2021-2022 Season

Ha, so true. My comfort range is -20 degrees up to about 75. I hate summer. I would rather be ice fishing than sitting on a beach somewhere trying to stay cool. The cold definitely makes me feel alive. It all what you are used to though. I don’t actually get cold very easily. Way too many years of i...

Re: Lockable motorcycle knife

I have gone down on a dirt bikes and four wheelers with a knife in my pocket quite a few times. I flipped a quad end over end at 55 mph with a knife in my back pocket. I was pretty sore for a couple days but not only did my knife not hurt me, it didn’t come out of my pocket. Surprisingly all the qua...

Sautéed up some chicken of the woods. Some will go in omelettes, some will go in a pasta dish and the rest will be going on a pizza.

Being linerless it only makes sense that we will see a salt version. Especially since there have been reports of a LW version in the works.

Re: Should Zome be Discontinued?

Sure, they should discontinue it just because I don’t like it. I assume they know their business better than we do. If they aren’t selling then they will stop. If I like it or not doesn’t really matter. Spyderco does lots of things I don’t really understand but I assume those decisions are catering ...

As a Pats fan this is hard to say but Buffalo has a soft division. They have got it on lock. It will just come down to how they can perform in the playoffs.
