Re: The Last Gun You Bought

The PF9 is definitely extremely easy to carry. Having 7+1 of 9mm in a package that weighs just 1lb loaded is super impressive. With the clip on it you can carry IWB without a holster (if you are willing to carry on an empty chamber) and it is unbelievably easy to carry. I have never taken it out of ...

Re: About that food prep ...

Well yeah, by laser I meant a properly sharpened knife with a thin grind. This knife is thinner at the edge and thinner 1/4 behind the edge than an opinel. It has about 1.3mm stock. I can say that I did have issues with durability with it at first but through sharpening I have seemed to work it out....

Re: About that food prep ...

If you call yourself a knife geek and you don’t own a Japanese laser then you need to get one. This ain’t even a super expensive knife but it is R2/Super Gold and the grind is crazy thin. I can’t do this with any folder I own.

Re: The Last Gun You Bought

Nice Mac. I have had a PF9 since around 2007 or 2008. Just make sure to ammo test it. Mine won’t shoot Winchester white box at all but gobbles up cheap federal no problem. I didn’t really trust it for a few years until I started putting a mild reload of mine through it that it has no problems digest...

Re: Is Sal Glesser Irreplaceable?

Sal is all about character and I am sure he has instilled his values in Eric. We are currently in the middle of what I believe is a seamless transition to Eric fully running the show.

Re: Retire The PM2?

The Delica, Endura and Police have been in production for decades. They have been Spyderco’s legacy models much like the Buck 110. The Para2 has placed itself into a similar category and I believe it will be looked back upon as a legacy model. I see it lasting many many more years. I personally like...

Re: Retire The PM2?

Why would you have to discontinue the Para2 to make a skinny Shaman? Seems like you could propose your idea in a different manner.

Re: Why don't they chrome plate carbon steel?

I think that if you start to get corrosion at the bevel it will work under the plating and then start flaking off. Interested to see what other input we get from those with more knowledge.

Spyderco makes many knives that will cut similarly in my opinion.

Re: We already have the solution. Now what we need is to find the problem

I started carrying a flashlight every day specifically because I was tired of draining the battery on my phone all the time. The flashlights on phones eat the battery up pretty quick.

Re: Chaparral

I have the CF Chap. It is awesome but I wish it was a little bigger and more hand filling. In some ways that just makes it a Sage except for the Sage’s thicker stock. I would love a bigger chap or a Sage4 with a 2mm blade. When will we start seeing larger knives with 2mm stock? The UKPK is basically...

Am I the only adult left in the world who just eats an apple whole, without cutting it up first? I feel so alone... Yeah, you're a weirdo, all right. But only mid-level. If you want to kick out your weirdness to the next level, don't eat your apple in the traditional orientation. Start eating at th...

How do you scoop peanut butter with a whole apple? ;)

I LOVE Granny Smiths apples and peanut butter. Sometimes I even sprinkle a little salt on it. :)
