Re: tracker knife

It is a polarizing design. Folks either love them or hate them. I have seen folks on YouTube demonstrate some impressive skills with one. I haven’t personally used one and it doesn’t appeal to me. The only way to know if it works for you is to buy one and play with it in the woods a little. Haven’t ...

If you see either one of the first Chief sprints in stock I wouldn’t hesitate.

I am ready to go...
Ha, you and me both!

What piece(s) are you going for?
The Rex45 definitely but maybe both.

Re: Knife materials and Covid-19, et. al

Are you letting other people use your knife? I don’t think that we need to be autoclaving our knives. A mild bleach and water solution will kill any germs and won’t damage a knife. Still unsure why knife knuts poo poo aluminum scales? They are strong enough and lighter than titanium. Some respectabl...

Sorry, shouldn’t have said trade. I was implying that Ben is likely done and that Cam is more of the same.

Joe Flacco to the Jets on a 1 yr deal. Cam Newton still unsigned.
Perfect fit. Never liked Flacco and hate the Jets.

Re: NFL Season: 2020-2021

Well gang, anything going on in the League this week? Cam Newton still floating around? There must be more going on than we realize with Cam Newton. Because it doesn't seem like anyone is interested. I kind of thought that Miami would have been a good fit for him. And with the XFL out of the pictur...

Re: Strongest EDC Steel?

Best is subjective. You need to identify what attributes you are after specifically. It is all trade offs. Also, “strongest” is a specific term in material science but in general use it has a watered down and conflated meaning. Do you actually mean toughness? Generally, ease of sharpening is the inv...

Hi Darby,
Is that Smith made out of Scandium?
Yup, sure is. Model 360. All the 300 series guns are scandium airweights. The barrel and cylinder are stainless I believe.

An 18oz version in 4V sounds amazing. I can tell you that you will sell at least one of them. I am in!

How long was the blade on the original? Competition knives are limited to 10 inches. About that size?

Re: Spydeco Knife & Gun's

Mossberg 835 Ultramag. The turkey and goose slayer. It has been good to me over the past 15+ years. I turned 42 this year though and I am pretty sure this thing is done shooting 3.5 inch turkey loads. I’ll probably still use 3.5s for waterfowl but my shoulder is done with these crazy turkey loads. h...

Re: Spydeco Knife & Gun's

My newest toy!!! Had it for about a week and it has already eaten about 200 rounds. They call the coating pvd and it seems very similar to spyderco’s dlc. I dried fired it a couple hundred times at least and put a couple hundred trough it and there is almost zero drag line around the cylinder. I exp...

Thanks fellas!!! It was a great one!!! I squeezed in 4 hours at work, burned up some ammo at the sand pit and then hit the water for some fishing and beer.

Re: Has the Coronavirus affected your daily life?

I have been cutting my own hair for many years as well. Gave it a number 3 about a week ago and gave my son a number 2. It is tick season here so I gotta keep it short. Already pulled four of those evil things off me this month. Probably about due for my annual blood test and month of antibiotics. ...
