Re: DLT Tan 20CV Yojimbo 2

Detent is strong. Not as easily flickable as the pm2 or the shaman. Probably just need to adjust my angle. Anybody else experiencing this?

Re: Next Manix2 S110V production run

My Knifeworks pre-order just shipped.

Hmm I just looked on the KW site and it is still showing pre order only for the 110v Manix 2.

Wonder if everyone of the one they got are already spoken for.

Just need for some to be available the 1st of October. /em crosses fingers

Re: Massdrop deals

they actually dont have a stock of anything. they are a middle man, so to speak. once a poll gets the minimum votes a massdrop employee contacts the manufacturer to order a specified lot. they probably wont be able to get anything that is in a very high demand. like the pm2, the manix 110 might be a ...

Re: Massdrop deals

I ordered a foursevens preon ti on massdrop. took about 2-3 weeks or so but i eventually got it. if you can wait, massdrop is a good way to save a few bucks.

p.s. it takes a while to get enough votes for consideration... even if you meet the required minimum, nothing is guarenteed. just for ...

Re: Rescue blade on Massdrop

thats odd. i've never had a problem. in fact i placed an order 2 weeks ago for a penlight and it arrived yesterday. and they updated me 3 or 4 times during that period on the status of my package. what did they say/do when you contacted them about it?

Re: Rescue blade on Massdrop

if i could have only 1 blade for both on and off duty, the triage would be appealing. but that isnt the case. i also carry a rescue hook already, making an integrated hook useless bulk. If the Triage wins out i'll probably pass and look for a good retail price on an Assist. just trying to save a few ...

Re: Best Law Enforcement knife?

i imagine in your line of work blades are often misused, abused and/or lost. just the nature of the job. If you end up wanting a "sacrificial" blade that wont cost much to replace, check out the Ontario Rat1 and Utilitac. great beaters. from what you described, you'd probably like the Utilitac tanto ...

Rescue blade on Massdrop

I'm a new EMT and I'm gradually patching together my gear. Currently I'm carrying my Endura on duty and I can't see myself comfortably using it on calls due to it's tip. So I've decided to scratch together some cash for dedicated rescue blade.

I started up a Massdrop poll to try and get a group ...

i just realized that the lockbar on my new caly doesnt have the coining seen in this post:

is that still a part of the caly's production? does anyone who recently purchased one have the pinch marks on the lockbar?

I got my 3.5 from Amazon Tuesday, but I exchanged it because the grind was very uneven.
I got another today! This one seems better. The only quirks are a sticky lockbar and it looks like the lanyard hole wasn't punched out the entire way.
Quick drop of blue lube smoothed the knife/lockbar up. No ...

carhartt's canvas work pants go well with anything with clips. the wider cuffs are pretty rigid so theyre durable and the clips slide right over the seam.

to tie a bow on this thread, i want to ask you guys with the caly 3.5 is there a point at which you are using the knife that you think to yourself (or say out loud, if thats your thing) "wish there was more meat on this handle"? And if so, what task is it that you are performing? logically a para 2 ...
