I am also a distance runner. I stick with my pacific salt. I wear Clipped to my running shorts at 3 o'clock. I dont like built in underwear and always wear compression shorts so chafing isn't an issue. Defense is my only real concern on a run. Even my long trail runs I carry premade food or wait unt...

The 8cr on Byrds and the value folders gets very sharp and functions well. Yes, it needs sharpened more often than vg-10 or s30v but it works very well for me. Gerber is known everywhere to use mystery steels. My wife has what I believe is a mini paraframe (she had it before I met her!) and it is a ...

I used my endura wave to open food packages, cut bananas, and pop a blister (eww I know). My new pacific salt SE has been cutting a lot of rope lately plus lopping small limbs that are in my way in the forest. In other news, my SAK has done a wonderful job opening beer bottles (yes, I know my endura...

Love my persistence. Enough that I asked my wife for a tenacious for Xmas. The steel is mesiocre and needs sharpened often under constant use but I'm ok with that. The ergos are great, the blade is super slicey, and I like the looks. It looks pricier and more gentlemanly than my endura wave or pacif...

Which Byrds really stand out?
New member here. The only Byrd knife I own is a meadowlark hawkbill. I love it. The performance to price level is amazing. When I bought it, I didn't want to shell out the money for a Tasman when I didn't know how I'd even like a hawkbill. Anyways, I know I want to pick up a Cara Cara 2 with both a ...

Well, this is my first post. Today it's my brand new Pacific Salt SE in the rfp and a Persistence in lrp. I've only gotten back into knives over the last 9 months or so. I used to collect some when I was younger. I've quickly picked up interest in Spyderco. My Dad bought me a Cricket years ago and, ...
